I have one too, i havent had the problem but the friend i got it from did, just make sure that any firewalls are down or any kinda of security things, cuz they may and probably will, good luck, tell me me if that does not work either, i might have another suggestion, but that should be it.
when i tried to set it up on up laptop with vista, it seemed to get further but get an error at the end saying plug the connector in when it was already in. It passed the connection sharing part somehow.
First and foremost, did you get a CD that was supposed to help you install the software? If not, that may be the problem. I bought the Wi-Fi USB Connector just a week ago that didn't have a CD, and I thought I wouldn't be able to use it. If that's the case, or if you're using Vista, you can download the latest version software from Nintendo's site that will allow you to use the connector still. You'll have to look around Nintendo's main site and/or the Nintendo Wi-Fi site a bit, but it's there. I hope that helps. If not, I would suggest looking around the sites anyways for tech support.

You have to have Windows XP to use it. It says that on the back of the box.
i know that, they released an update a while ago that lets vista users use it. I try installing it with the disc and the updating software but getting the same errors.
