I just completed Sonic Unleased and got everything. All S ranks, secret mission, art, music, movies and secret documents.Good job. Is the game fun and a great challenge?
[spoiler] Movie 36 is really funny, you can only get it by unlocking the final secret mission for the 71st Moon Medal. You have to collect all art, music, movies and secret documents to unlock the final secret mission. Chip and Sonic are sitting at a table eating, and they start fighting over a dumpling or something with their chop sticks. At the end Chip flies up into the air with a whole bunch of drool coming out of his mouth and he gets the dumpling. It's looks like the scene from Kung-Fu Panda where Po and Shifu are eating and Shifu tells Po he can have the dumpling if he can grab it. It's so worth it to see because you'd never think Sonic would do something like that lol, it was completely random :P. I though Movie 36 was going to be a secret ending or something. Yeah the game is awesome, it's very fun from start to finish. The day levels with Sonic are by far the best running levels I've ever played in a Sonic game. The night levels with the Werehog are also fun, they're not as bad as all the reviews say they are. The only problem I had once in a while was with some of the platforming. Sometimes I'd double tap the control stick making Sonic accidentaly run off a ledge or cliff. Other than that the game is great. It took me a long time to find all the hidden art, music, movies and secret documents. Some of them are really well hidden. I actually found it quite fun to search for them, it made me want to keep going back and try collecting everything. I did it all without using a guide either! This is definitly a Sonic game that everyone should buy, it's really that good.
[QUOTE="ChildOfGaming7"]Good Job! Is there a Mazuri and Empire City level?J_Ford
Thanks. Unfortunatly no, there's no Mazuri or Empire City levels on the Wii version. On Mazuri all you can do is fight a boss.
*blows raspberry* That sucks...
Heh...raspberry...
RASPBERRIES!!!!!!
hey j_ford as you might know sega has been in a slump and have been getting pretty bad reviews. you said this game was great so do you think its enough to get sega back on top?
p.s. i was thinking about which version to get 360 or wii you cant play mazuri or empire on wii but i heard 360 doesnt play well so which version do you recomend:question:
Are the Wii controls good or did you use the Classic Controller/GC controller? Jakendo
I found the Wii controls to work pretty well. I started playing the game with the Wii-mote and nunchuck and just stuck with them. I haven't tried the Classic or Gamecube controllers yet.

I think it's a good step in the right direction to put Sega back on top. They really did a great job with Sonic's running levels. I know not everyone will like the Werehog stages, but it's just a matter of opinion. I didn't mind them too much. A lot of people are probly afraid to try Sonic Unleashed because of all the previous games that were released. I guess for some people they've given Sonic a bad reputation. Not that there's anything wrong with any of them though. I've read that a lot of people don't seem to like Sonic games and apparantly they keep getting worse and worse but that's not true. I've noticed that a lot of people rely on reviews and such and base there decisions off of them. People just need to try playing this one for themselves and see how much fun it is. I think if Sega makes a Sonic game that uses the same engine as Sonic Unleashed, and just makes the whole game have running levels with Sonic and doesn't add anything else then they could definitly be back on top. I think that way they'd be pleasing everyone and no one would really have anything to complain about. They just need take what they made great about Sonic Unleashed and improve on it.
I'd recommend the Wii version because I've only played it on the Wii. I bought it for the Wii, but I also have a PS3 so I might just rent it for the PS3 so I can try out Mazuri and Empire City.
[QUOTE="lordlors"]how long is this game anyway?scar-hawkI have the same question.
Well I just checked how long I've played it for on my Wii and I've played it for a total of 58 hours and 32 minutes. Though it didn't take me all that time to beat the game, I think it beat it at around 20 hours or so. That's the total amount of time I spent playing unlocking all the secret missions, finding all the art, music, movies and secret documents and getting all S ranks on each mission. The longest I played in one sitting for was 12 hours 30 minutes.

Sonic games are the only games I can play for extended periods of time, since I find they provide a rush of sorts. I hate sitting down and playing a game for over an hour, since I get restless and tired at the same time.Strange, isn't it? :P

I am the same way with certain games. AC City Folk I could play forever and not get really bored but after about 45 mins of Madden I want to jump off a clif. I like the game but there is something about extended times in that game that make me just want to get it over with. What's your favorite level? Mine is Spagonia, the song is awesome!!!PhazonBlazer
My favorite level would have to be Holoska, I think it has the best theme of all the levels, plus I've always like ice/snow themed levels. Chun-nan is also a great level, I really like how they based it off of the Great Wall of China. Spagonia is another great one too, I really like how the entire level looks and you're right the theme is awesome.
I have been meaning to rent this. How are the graphics on the Wii version? Cant decide between renting the 360 version and the Wii VersionWaffle_Fish
The graphics are amazing on the Wii version, especially the cutscenes. Overall I think it's definitly one of the best looking games on the Wii, I think it looks even better than Super Mario Galaxy. I'd go with the Wii version, but that's just me.
Here's the movie I was talking about in my first post in the spoiler, it's movie 36. I won't say what the movie's about, if you want to know read the spoiler first. This one is for the X-Box 360 but it's the same for the Wii version, I couldn't find anyone who posted the Wii version on youtube yet. But for anyone that's interested here you go,
