just gathering thoughts on red steel2......

So I'm debating about pre-ordering it right now....... I want to gather some thoughts though. Do you guys think it'll be a good game?

There are a couple of guys on GAF that have gotten review copies that say that they enjoy it a lot. And from what I've seen it's going to be great.

Like you I am cautious in my preorder. I am rather hoping that the game is a good game in the end because who wouldn't want a good shoot and slash?

I feel you on that man. Hell on the plus side, if the game sucks and the early reviews indicate it, I can always just cancel my preorder or get the WM+ out of it :P

Really? I thought there are alot of vids, interviews, previews, and hype.

I think everything depends on what the combat feels like. If the combat is fun, but the story is meh, the game will still be good. If the story is great, but the combat isn't, the game won't be. They must nail the controls, or the game will fail.

If Ubisoft can pull this off, they'll get my money.

I ordered it off Amazon, and the game looks amazing.

I can assure that it will get a 9.0 here. No better, no worse.

Of course! It's going to be great I feel! I've had mine preordered for several months now. It will be maybe the prettiest game on the system and have sblime fps controls as well as a great main character. I HIGHLY recommend it if you're interested in the slightest.

I can't tell whether or not it will be a good game but it looks to outshine its predecessor in every aspect possible.

How are people so confident in this game? Is there something I'm missing? The first game flopped so bad, I'm sure this one will be better but will it be AAA? Doubt it but hope I'm wrong.Meinhard1

People playing the review copy in GAF are praising it.

Seemingly, it's the sword fighting game we've been waiting for since 2006... :O I'll buy it at least...

It looks great, but I don't pre-order very often. I'm almost certain I'll be picking it up. however.

I think that without a doubt it is going to be one of the best Wii games ot there among the very best shooters of this entire generation. Wii motion plus ftw baby!

yea no need to preorder doubt its gonna b out of stock on release day...IF good aside from visual I will get it on release day in Aust -which means reviews would have been out already :P

So no need to worry about pre-ordering cuz it'll be posted all over the internet soon enough after it comes out. So just wait for reviews to come out to see if its worth it or not.

I have beaten the game a few days ago and it's a good game. It's not perfect but it's much better than the original.

The story in the game is uninteresting, as are the characters. The controls are great although the Motion + isn't used to its full potential, which is a bummer. The swordfighting works sort of in the same way as the knife in RE: Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles. It's more accurate of course, but it's not like the sword follows your hand 1:1. It's still gesture based. The world in the game feels very empty. You're just running around and sometimes you meet a few enemies on the way to your next destination (if the enemies aren't your destination).

I wasn't very hyped for this game before I had played it, and I'm glad I wasn't, because I believe I would've been very disappointed by it. It's a good game though. Just good. If I were rate it I'd give it a 7/10.

well its getting pretty decent reviews accros the board the lowest is here 7.5 , so ya ign gave it a 8.6 some other site gave it a 8.1 fogot who but it was on the forum in one of the sections
