The Wii can play GC games. On top of the Wii, there is 4 ports for GC controllers and 2 ports for GC memory cards, too. A GC controller and memory card is needed for GC games.

yep, you can play gamecube games on the wii. you have to buy a gamecube controller or the classic controller(i think)to play the GC games. enjoy your wii!
You're going to need a Gamecube controller and a memory card if you plan to play GC games on the Wii. The Classic Controller and the Wii's internal memory aren't compatible with the Gamecube function of the console.
sure enough. With the purchase of the wii you can now play anything GC related such as Metroid Prime and the likes. You will need a GC controller and GC memory card though.

You need to update your Wii if you just got it. And download the other channels in the wii shop channel. Also buy Wifi games it makes it more to play with your Wii. Medal of Honor Heros 2 and Mario Strikers Charged are some of the games you can play online.
Yes, you can play Gamecube games on the Wii flawlessly. And as far as I know, every single Gamecube game is compatible (feel free to correct me if I am wrong anybody).
You will need to buy a Gamecube controller and a Gamecube memory card to save though.
