What about the storyline was amazing? It was average, at best.
But yeah, gameplay wise, it was great. Except of course of the extremly repetetive Temple parts of the game.

I thought the story was ...charming ( its the best word I can think of), and the ending was amazingly well done ( the final boss), making the 15 hours it took to beat worth it. I take it many people didn't actually finish it to find out
And the Temple: once you got new items, you got to explore different parts so it wasn't that repetitive, and besides; once you got to the checkpoint you could skip half the dungeon and just begin where you left off. I imagine you didn't get that far.
The gameplay was definitely the best part. The only bad part about this game is that it has practically zero replayability.

FYI, I did beat the game, so I'm not just going off on this game blindly.
The temple is repetetive just for the sheer fact that you have to re-visit the damn place 6 times throughout the game. The checkpoint does ease things a bit but that doesn't change the fact that you still have about 4 floors to get through after you reach the checkpoint.
And I can understand what you mean by the story being charming. It was a little cute. I don't know what you meant when you said the final boss was done well. Do you mean the boss fight or the... cut scenes during? Yeah they were ok. And I never said the story was bad. I just meant that it was nothing "amazing" but that is a matter of opinion so I'll drop it.
And I'll agree with the zero replayability part. It was a fun adventure but I'm not compelled to do it again.
you live in a phantom hour glass.. sweetl3laZeX3
Lol.
Yeah it's a great game. I beat it once, then played again up to the 4th dungeon (Ghost ship thing) and never played it again.
I thought it was a pretty good Zelda entry, but not up to par for what I expect from a handheld Zelda. I also thought it was a nice addition to the series, with trying something new with the touch controls. It gave a chance for input, and this will hopefully be used to make another handheld Zelda game, which I love.
PS
Ocarina anyone? I really find it ironic people complain about the Temple of the Ocean King when one of their favourite games is Ocarina. Gasp, traveling to the Temple of Time x times just to transform from child/adult to get one item and do it again and again is the same concept. Than, if there wasn't backtracking like the Temple of Time and Ocean King, people would call the game to linear in that you don't have to rediscover anywhere or progress through traveling somewhere more than once.
