I dont own a wii and im a little confused about how the whole blocks thing works. So how many blocks does an average wii game use and how many to download a virtual console game?
Well today officially marks the day. I have ran out of space on my wii. I tried to save a game in Wii Big Brain Academy and there wasnt enough space. Im hoping that this hard drive announcement at E3 becomes realitysaosin37
Let me guess tons of vc games you haven't played for a while or you have saves from games you rented or traded away. Clear out the trash. Pack rats are the ones who have the space issue.
Most of us know to throw out the vc games that we no longer play as well as the saved games. Transfer them to a SD card for crying out loud if it is to much of a bother to redownload.

Wii only works up to 2 gigs though. :Pi don't think thats true, link?Delete all your dumb Mii's, all those pictures you dont need, and get rid of virtual console games you dont play anymore!
Your save file will still exist, but the games will be saved away.
I have 1337 blocks left, by the way :)

You could delete some of your VC games if you have some. You can download them later without paying another time. chris3116
You could do that or buy an SD card.
Hearing a lot of rumors about a hard drive eventually becoming available fr the Wii....
Any sources out there?

I didnt pay $250 for have a$$ed excuses. I payed between 5 and 10 dollars for every virtual console games im not going to delete them. I dont understand why you nintendo fanboys make excuses instead of asking questions and saying to nintendo why? Nintendo is suppposed to be making more then $90 on each Wii they sell at the moment. There is no reason why they couldnt have added some more flash memory in the system. But that aside i just want something to add onto the system to make everything fit.
You talk like the games are gone forever, you can delete and redownload as much as you want. It doesnt cost you a single penny. But dont act like its just Nintendo's fault you have to manage space. I mean I'm sure you have a computer do you fill up the HD and then blame the computer manafactuer for not giving you a bigger one. No you delete, transfer to CD/DVD or whatever. Its the same story here saosin, you can even run out of space on the mighty 60 GB PS3. Should you complain that Sony should have made it 80, then 120, then 150.Sepewrath
Why don't you just admit Nintendo didn't put enough flash memory in the Wii? I can't honestly believe your comparing filling up a massive 60 gig PS3 HDD to filling up an incredibly short portion of flash memory on the Wii.

THANK YOU. I think part of nintendo improving itself and not looking like the little baby system is putting some effort into things. How come every other system has had at least 5 or 6 system updates adding feature but the Wii has had 1. And instead of being media related its the voting channel

I think that's because they are destroying MS and Sony in sales at the moment. I think they are saving firmware updates that are actually useful when Wii sales are slumping and are trying to think of creative ways to sell units.
