Is that an exaggeration? If not then I wouldn't have a clue to the problem. If you are exagerating, the Wii does usually take a few seconds to get back to the menu.nintendofreak_2
longer than it should
I usually have about a 3 or 4 second wait then it shows the Wii menu loading up (you know the channels kinda pulse on the screen from the left to the right). If it's taking more than 10 seconds then I would consider getting it checked, or atleast call Nintendo.longer than it should

i think its bout 8...i'll count next time. btw i have a lot of channels. well not that many, the first page is filled and on the second page the first row is filled and 1 channel on the next row.
The number of Channels is probably the reason it is taking longer to start up. Just like Windows, it is fast until you start loading programs into it. :D

well thats probly it for the menu part but read the rest of it

I have 3 pages of channels but mine only takes a couple of seconds
*sigh* i'll probly call nintendo tomorow. keep giveing me ideas tho please cause thats my last resort.
if u have a lot of VC games then boot time slows down. its a pain (and hopefully ninty fix it with a firmware update if they can). basically the OS has to load more data in before it can show u the screen. its normal though. i noticed quite a difference with about 15 VC titles downloaded.
if u dont have alot though the try and remove the disc in the wii and see if that speeds it up. if it does then id return the wii for repairs. the disc drive could be whiffing of a certain citrus fruit.
