Or at least in my expierence I think so. I was playing it for a good amount of the night and it was just unforgiving, I finally got to the top of 1-3 and died, tried again, died and just gave up and decided to try again later. What advice can you give if you guys are crusing through this game, I'm finding it much tougher than I remember.rocktimusprimeyeah man, I haven't even got past 1-2 yet... I hate the reaper, what a dick.

it is a game know for it's difficulty.
old school games are the hardest games by far. They rape any current gen game by far in difficulty. And they said they were for kids back thenn... pshGoten_king...even scarier is that a lot of those games were made easier when they were originally released in the US
I do miss those days in some ways. Save points? What were those?Ahhhhhhhh the old times when games where hard and you actually play them for months and months and never got old, not like today's games that once you beat them you rarely go back and play them again!
Welcome to real gaming my friend!!!

Welcome to the world of real gaming, with 2-d platformers where the levels and enemies were actually challenging, It's really unbelievable how easy they make games these days. I remember being in the same situation as you as a kid on my NES not being able to get past the 2nd world on Kid Icarus. Played it again on a roommates NES in college a couple of years ago and beat it in one sit through. billbradsky
A lot of games are soooo easy to beat now-a-days, and so its great to come back to a game like Kid Icarus and get my ass beat by a computer.

The NES era was my 2nd favorite era on video games. The 1st is the 16 bits era. Welcome to everyone who never was on this era when there were no saving points and pain a$$ 2D games. Â
Come on Tecmo, bring the original Ninja Gaiden on NES on the VC very soon.
i was thinking about geting it but i was wondering if it was to hard so is it worth it?
o0George0o
Yes, definatly worth it.
It may get frustrating, but its fun enough to keep you comin back after turning off the system in rage. After about 5 tries you'll be a born natural, and THATS when it gets exciting.

So much fun, So frustrating, God I love old games.
im so bad at kid icarus. and where are you supposed to put in those codes they give you?mrlinno
Nothing. I read somewhere (i think its in manual) that the game doesnt take the codes and you have to save by the save points that wii does with every vc console.
And yes, this game is hard, but its great because its actually a challenge. Games like this (and ice climbers) rely FAR more on skill and finese then all these weak games out today. Most new gamers dont know what a challenge is.
its hella hard. the reapers a dick. i can get past 1-2 lol. kingofBowserFINALLY!! Someone agrees with me!

The only advice I can give you is make sure you're really coordinated before you start playing it.
