valid question, though i wish i knew the answer. This situation is especially bad if your friends don't wash their hands...

Yeah, you could use paper towels. But a cover for the remote might be better if it really turns out nasty after your friends play. :?

Rofl. Seriously though use paper towels that aren't too rough so as not to scratch the surface. I know cause my friends always have greasy hands when they play.

i got it. buy designated gloves for each of your friends that they put on before coming in your house... then drench them in sanitizer solution. then let play with your wii... fun!!

what you do is take a paper towl spritzed with alcohol and whipe the wii remotes in a counter clockwise fashion. If you encounter any fecal matter or blood, be sure not to touch it as it may have biohazardous properties. You'll want to wear medical grade latex gloves in that event. Of course if they have grease or bilge oil you will definitely pull it out gently from the spaces between buttons just as you would with fecal matter. Use wetted towels with SOAP until your desired level of cleanliness. For mild dust or mucous your solution should be much more diluted, and you'll want to avoid getting it too wet or you'll just aggrevate and mobilize the particulates. GAME ON!!!

Controllers have always been darker, not because it's a cooler color, but because it doesn't show dirt as easily. Well... except for the PS3. Not sure who the brainchild at Sony was that though glossy was a good idea.

did somebody actually say they have a "glove" for the wii.

Don't get me wrong, the wii is tight, but if you think you need a glove for the wii, you really need to ask a girl out on a date before you forget what girls are (besides Princess Zelda!) :)

Embrace the filth! Seriously, I have an OCD girlfriend who has no problems with my wiimotes and they get a lot of use.
