Kingdom Hearts 3 for the Wii???

Is there a chance Square will release KH3 on the Wii??? I remember reading somewhere that they wanted the console wars to be more far, and not release all their good games on one console. Kingdom Hearts dosn't need next gen graphics so I think it would suit the Wii just fine.

I think it will be possible because Square will probably put it on the Console with the biggest Fanbase when they decide and it looks like it will be the Wii, sure the 360 has more of a fanbase then the Wii right now but the Wii has a larger Japanese fanbase.Nintendo_Ownes7

Good points...but who's to say who's going to have the biggest fanbase in however many years it takes Kingdom Hearts to come out?

For me i don't think so.. I mean both of the KHs where on the ps2. Maybe it will go to the ps3 then to the wii and maybe 360?? Or...It will stay as a exclusive for the ps3.

Snowballs chance in hell. did you beat kh2. did you watch the hidden ending. thats what kh3 is going to be like only better. square likes making lavish cutscenes and the wii cant deliver. i think they should just make either a port or i brand new KH spinoff. kind of like chain of memories for the gba. but something like kh2 but new worlds and stuff. i also think they should focus more on the square universe. like sora goes to midgar or other FF places. cuz the disney thing is getting played out and they are really running out of ideas. i really like kh2 and i hope the wii gets something. but kh3 isnt going to be one of them.bofe1234

yah it would be interesting to see on the wii. bosses like kefka, sephiroth (of course), Sin (lol thatd be insane). i really think square should consider it. it makes sense though. to be completely honest wii is the most kid oriented system (kiddy if u will) and whats more kiddy than disney. also all the Hardcore FF lovers would love to see it on. i think chain of memories did relatively well.

I think the story should be that all the disney characters get sent to the square world. and sora has to find and send back all the character to there world. i really enjoyed both games, probably my 2nd fav. game of all time. just because it brings back a lot of childhood memories. the music is fantastic in those games and i really like how they use UTADA to make those awesome songs. and i think twilight town is the best location for any video game ever. like if i could i would so live there. that was my fav. part of the games. i often replay just the intro to just hang out there. its quite a lot of fun. so by bringing it to the wii maybe the series could become more innovative and basically a completely different experience

Wow people are forgetting the facts and quotes. I'd be suprised if KH3 WASN'T on Wii. Here's why:

- The control scheme can be a natural fit for KH3
- Square has said development has already begun for KH3 and will go in a 'different direction'.
- Disney has opened up a studio soley for Wii/Nintendo games.
- Square and Nintendo are good buddies again - Dragon Quest exclusive for DS!!!??? You bet it is. And Japan has been consumed in the hype! Sales have been strong for Square lately and they are supporting Wii.
- Think about the audience KH is to - fans of Disney, RPGs and magical adventures. Would someone pay $600 for that or $250?
- Development costs are considerably less for Wii
- KH's graphics focus more on art than polygon count - very fitting for the Wii's hardware
- Disney and Nintendo also have a helathy partnership and BOTH have the same motives, philosophies and audience. Where Disney has Lion King attracts all audiences to movies, the same goes for Zelda or Mario for games.
- Sony has previously been sloppy in getting contract deals and exclusive games - Nintendo has been almost the opposite. (eg. Reggie getting Rockstar's support and getting Guitar Hero for Wii)
- KH would rock anyways regardless of platform.

No way it happens.
You're not going to see them "experiment" with one of their best franchises.

Plus Sony will do it's part to make sure that it's worth it to Square to stay on a Sony platform

They said new footage of the new KH will be released by the end of this year. I was kinda hoping E3 we would have something or at TGS.

But things were different then. Look at PS2's success rather than PS3's. Sure they both were off the a rocky start, but PS2 had a MUCH brighter future for them and took less risks.

I always thought that'd be awsome. Use the wiimote to swing the Keyblade. Cast a spell or throw a potion (quickly) by pressing a direction on the d-pad and throwing the wiimote in the air (like sora does...its not like it's gonna make the potion throwing any slower...i hate potion throwing in KH...)

Edit: Throwing it in the air w/o letting go i mean...like sora! :lol:

I would rather see it on the PS3 than the Wii, since on the PS3, it would be able to have a longer story and better graphics. It will also be fun on the Wii, but not as fun as on the PS3.meteorgun7

How can the story be shorter on the wii? even if there isn't enough disc space they could always do 2 disc...i don't mind that...it always makes it feel like the game is longer w/ more than one disc...

Like I said before KH3 would focus of art style more than raw power - it would work great on wii anyway. And it would take a shat-load more development time to get done the PS3 version of KH3 than on Wii. I don't understand this "it'll be longer on PS3" most of the space on the Blur-ray is due to graphics and sound, and not one dev has the time nor the money to maximise blu-ray or PS3's power.

It IS more likely to go on Wii than PS3. For the reasons I stated on the previous page and the fact that Sony is getting sloppy obtaining exclusives. The next big installment of DQ is exclusive to DS, and GTA will be both on 360 and PS3, with 360 getting the better end of the stick (exclusive content).

I'm not saying God of War 3 is happening on Wii (since that is made by Sony), but I am saying Wii has a better chance of gaining KH in theory. I will be suprised if KH doesn't make an appearance at all on Wii.

True, you've got your Sony fanbase for it, but not a lot of them will reject the Wii for a PS3.

True, you've got your Sony fanbase for it, but not a lot of them will reject the Wii for a PS3.

Besides that, story length is not directly proportional to disc size as Twilight Princess was a much longer game than MGS4, and obviously there is a big disc space difference there. Its about what devs put in the game, like large cinema scenes and things like that in which disc space comes into play. and I dont think it would be as simple as making a two disc game because people for some reason tend to hate two disc games, dont ask me why. So devs are hesitant to make a game two disc to begin with, however its a rare occassion that a franchise will start on console and not end up finishing on that one, especially when the stories of all the games are linked.

So as disappointing as it might be for KH fan Wii owners, I expect this to go on the PS3 simply for that reason, even if it isnt as financially viable as it would be on the Wii. And while I mentioned multiplat in an earlier post, I was pretty much referring to a 360 port, I dont really see square going from Bluray to standard DVD, there really not that kind of developer.

Never played KH1&2, but I have heard great things about the games, would be very excited if they decided to release it in some form on the Wii. Wouldn't mind remakes either, Square seems to like making remakes for Nintendo systems.

I can see Kingdom Hearts 3 pulling a Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii. Wii has the largest user base worldwide as well as a gigantic lead in Japan. Hopefully Square will be as smart as Capcom this time around.

If Square gives Wii another lame spinoff I might break something. Dragon Quest: Masked Queen Tower of Mirrors was a joke and FF: Chocobo's Dungen looks like flashy shovelware to me.

GBA version wasn't a spinoff per say (it did follow the story. it just had an entirely different battle system)

They are not making a Kingdom Hearts 3. Instead, they are making three new KH games.

1. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (PSP)

2. Kingdom Hearts: Coded (Mobile)

3. Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (DS)
