no clue. there might not even be a demo.

there has to be though. there has never been a demo that hasn't released in every region.

Played it yesterday, not impressed.

+ The first stage looked stunning visually.
+ The characters are charming.

- The second stage looked very bland visually.
- The "friend" mechanic is just not fun and makes everything too easy, you barely have to do anything yourself.
- The boss fights are chaotic spam-fests and required zero tactics or thoughts.
- The demo in general feels extremely easy, despite there being an easy and a hard stage I didn't find any difference between them in terms of difficulty.
- The two stages were very linear and had no exploration or anything.
- The quality of the sound effects is horrible. They sell the game like Kirby in HD, but the sound design sounds like it belongs to the SNES days.

@Sgt_Crow: This is really disappointing. I thoroughly enjoyed Kirby Planet Robobot on the 3DS and was hoping this would be an addition to my Switch collection. I'll have to wait and see for some reviews before I take the plunge.

Just played through the demo. I want to like the demo but I don't. My main gripe is this plays at half the speed of Kirby Planet Robobot. It feels so clunky and even the "hard" stage in felt like I was just going through the motions.

ok just played the demo.

I am not seeing the hate here guys. i find the graphics pretty. both stages that were offered. i find it fun and charming. yea kirby moves slow but that's how he moved in the first nes game also. he has a slide technique. press down and A. he will perform a slide. if you want to move faster.

i already see tons of strategy. you have to know exactly which allies to befriend in every situation in order to get all the unlockable items.

in the hard stage i lost half my life in the dedede fight. not sure difficulty was ever a big thing in kirby games. like the tree boss where your allies beat him for you. you should have ate one of your allies and you could have been hitting the tree boss alongside your allies.

so i was actually impressed. the only kirby game i have ever played is the first one on NES. i didnt beat it.
the controls were a bit wierd because all kirby games since the nes were the same. but i always play kirby in smash with different controls. so using him here felt weird. I am going to have to remap my smash bros controls for kirby so that it plays like the actual games. that way the controls wont feel weird.

How many people can play at once? can 4 people play together? not online, but on the couch.
