I haven't had any issues with mine. I wasn't even aware that it was a concern for some people. I know a few other people with DSlites and zero problems with L and R.
That's probably incredibly unhelpful. I'd call Nintendo and ask them how much it would cost to get it fixed. Or buy a new one on black friday. I'm hearing some good prices for new ones.
Blow on the button, no matter how silly it sounds.
Form a tight seal around it with your lips, then blow hard. It usually starts to work again.
Well, has anyone been able to find a more permanent, effective fix though? blowing on the buttons has never really worked for me either. And now I actually have a fairly specialized toolkit that allows me to open up consoles and handhelds like the DS. so if there's something I should look for on the inside that would fix it, I'm not above doing that too, if it will mean an end to that source of frustration.codezer0I would sent it to Nintendo instead of messing with it yourself.
I would sent it to Nintendo instead of messing with it yourself.I'm not paying an $85 "repair" fee, for one. Secondly, I've already exchanged the messed silver one for a fresh one. But I want to be prepared for when it happens again.[QUOTE="codezer0"]Well, has anyone been able to find a more permanent, effective fix though? blowing on the buttons has never really worked for me either.
