I am very disappointed with the lack of games offered on Virtual Console for the Nintendo Wii. There are so many good games that are not available. I loved Super Mario 2 and 3, why are they not available??? They have to be some of the most popular games ever released for the NES!!

I don't agree, I never had a TG16 so for me, it's a great opportunity to try them. Plus, there are all the game I didn't try on the other consoles and the good old classic like Zelda 3 that I would like to play again. Also, I can't wait that Square enix releases their games too.

Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that they released the other systems games, but..... Thousands of games were released in total for the NES, SNES, N64 and there are maybe 30-40 games avaliable. That is a very tiny fraction.

they don't wanna just PFFT them all out at once, they want to be able to spread them out thru the lifetime of the Wii. also, they have to take the time to recode the games so they will work on the Wii, save correctly, and not take anything away from the original. and yes, I know there were thousands of games made, and I do agree that they need to release more games at a time, but they do have to work on them and that takes time away from other things those ppl could be doing, like working on Wii games, accessories, or new features.

To hell with VC games, how bout some decent made of Wii games that aren't ports of old multiplatform games with lame Wii gimmicks tacked on? Don't get me wrong the VC stuff is cool but I didn't buy the Wii to play old games that I could easily do (for free) on my computer.

You think these games just appear on the VC? They have to take time to put them there, hence why we only get about 3 games a week.
They can also release VC games during drouts of Wii games, so people have something to do.

I agree with the TC.  The current VC library is pitiful.  I think Nintendo is just pacing them so they don't run out of VC games to release by the end of the Wii's life.  Though, I think it would be better to just release them all asap so we can be playing them.

One week people are wondering if Nintendo is releasing great games too fast. The next week, people are b!tching that they need to release the great games faster. Always something to b!tch about.

They to get the license for the vc games. Also they have to test the games out. They have to send the games to the ESRB. The wii vc blows through the xbox live arcade releases for the first six months heck the first year was blown through months back. Also the original vc titles will be coming out in a few months.

do u got a link to confirm that? I mean it would be cool if they announced it, but I'd rather see proof than just take ur word for it.

Statements from Reggie awhile back and also other reports from people like Matt Cassawhatever from IGN indicate original vc content in the second half of 2007. Hence a few months. It's part of their big online push.
