Lets build some Hype and Speculation about Pikmin 3!

There have been many threads about the new Zelda. So I think Pikmin deserves some attention even though we know nothing about it. Lets just have some fun and Speculate.

Lets see...I guess I'll start off

• The game will have Co-Op
• The artstyIe will represent the clay statues from Pikmin 2...
• The other 2 Pikmin (purple, white) will be taken out in exchange for 2 new Pikmin.
• Or, There will be more Pikmin and they will all just have one onion.
• There will be a Pikmin that can fly.
• There will be more of an open world.
• It will be just as awesome as SMG/Zelda
• Graphics will be just as amazing as SMG, and Other M (and Zelda wii if it looks as good)
• The final boss will be Ganondorf & Bowser, after being shrunk to the size of the final boss in Pikmin 1 at the end of SMG2 and Zelda Wii:P

As of now, No Speculation is Impossible...Well maybe some (master chief or some other weird 3rd party involved)

But since we have no info on the game, pretty much anything is accepted.

So, who has some wild speculation.

Besides just being awesome, it should come with NPC Pikmin and NPC Pikmin 2 on the disk. We need more stuff like MP Triliogy IMO. NPC Pikmin did poorlyin the states and NPC Pikmin 2 is already out in Japan, so just throw them both on the disk.

I really need Pikmin 3. I loved the first two installments, so naturally I'd be ecstatic for the 3rd one. I just want them to make it right now. I'll worry about all the features when more solid info is released about the game. I just hope it gets released.

I like the idea in the OP about pikmin that can fly and I think it'd be cool if Olimar got a jetpack as well so he can hover/fly short distances/cliffs.

Also I hope they announce it full blown with a trailer and stuff at E3. :)

I think that if nintendo was going to release a pikmini 3, they would have atleast said something about it by now. da_chub

They have already said multiple times that it's in development. The question is if it's still in development or if it's been cancelled. And if it hasn't how far in development is it?

I love this idea. :D

I really like the flying Pikmin idea.

However I hope they do not just stack new Pikmin into the game add Wiimote controls and call it a day.

I want more in depth boss battles and new gameplay possibilities.

I would like online as it is yet another game perfect for online with Coop and VS modes, but many people here seem to dislike anything about online play...

I love this idea. :D

That was one of my favorite ideas too! I cameup with it thinking about how the cover on NPC Pikmin2 looked awesome, and i wish the acctualy game looked like it.

BTW, people no need to fear. Pikmin 3 most likely will be here. It had decent sells thanks to Japan. Miyamoto expressed a lot of interest in it. Nintendo also said they would show it close to launch. I guess that means the first trailer will be shown 3-6 months before it is released. So we may not even see it at E3. Or maybe we will get even more lucky, and get it this year, and see it at E3:P

Needs the ability to combine Pikmin and combine their traits.

Also environments you can only take one type of Pikmin in, say a rainy spot in the world, but there are logs that you can take Pikmin into outside of the rain so they want die, and you can only take blue ones outside of the logs.

And have a heated area (volcano) you can only take red Pikmin into but there will be cooling sports you can take all types into.

It's only been hype and speculation for Pikmin 3. Miyamoto said it's coming. And that's it. I WANNA BE EATEN BY GIANT STRAWBERRY MONSTERS ALREADY! :P

I thought that there could be small moments where you directly control a Pikmin.

What do you mean? We heard of it some time this year after E3. Miyamoto and some other guy confirmed it. I have faith it's still in production.
