Pretty cool that it's a coin box which goes perfectly with the whole collecting coins thing in Mario games.
If it's not more then a tin it's another wasted opportunity
There has to be something that actually changes the game or gives more insight into the game or it's not worth it

[QUOTE="virus1000"]I really have to disagree here. My first thought when I saw this was "ew." Also, I think Jaysonguy is right here. This needs something more than just an ugly tin.Much better box art then the original but not worth getting it just because of the box.
Arc2012
I hate that giant red line in the original box art.

This boxart looks way better than the original. All you see on the other one is a giant red box. This one flows more smoothlyMuch better box art then the original but not worth getting it just because of the box.

If thats the final european boxart on the left, i guess the tin kinda makes up for it a bit, but not by much. Kinda glad we get the red one with the foil logo now.

Please, those things you are talking about are an absolute waste. Don't charge people an extra 20 bucks for a tin case, a $2 toy, and video's that could have been on the disc to beging with. I prefer the way Nintendo does it, a simple asthetic change that doesn't cost a dime more than any other game.So...... you get a Mario themed "piggy bank" if you pre-order. Hmmmmmm
Nintendo is really brilliant here... now they're trying to brainwash kids by telling them to save money, and buy more Nintendo games! FRIGGIN BRILLIANT!!!!!
PS-
Nintendo is really slacking on the box art in my opinion, that is horribly bland imo. It does have Mario on it, so I'm sure it'll be a million+ seller
Yeah when it comes to diabolical schemes this one is up there with subliminal smoke ads in 1950's moviesSepewrath
lol

I remember I used to own a SMB2 wallet, and it had a little animation of Mario picking up a mushroom (one of those plastic cards that when you twist it, it animates the character). I thought I was sweet

No, it's a waste
Add in game content and a making of DVD with an art book
Add something good
Just a case?
No
I mean Nintendo who makes about 100 lines of children's toys can't toss one of those in too?

I remember when you preordered Banjo-Tooie, you got a Banjo Kazooie, and Mumbo Jumbo plush toys. They definitely rocked the socks!

Add in game content? Who would have ever thought that Jayson would support paying extra for things that should already be on the disc? I would have never expected that you would support such an act, making of could be put on the disc for free if you really want people to know what went into making the game, they already paid for it, why should they pay to hear you talking about what they paid for? Artbook, well thats a toss up, but I could do without. While a special case means nothing to me, at least that case endures, it sticks out as something special for as long as you have it. A making off, you watch it once, and artbook you flip through it once, they shouldn't be selling game content seperately and a toy well Nintendo just gives those cheap things away. I'll take the no extra cost box over that nonense anyday of the week. Anyway here's an example of Nintendo, I bought Mario Galaxy at the NWS for the standard price, I got the coin, a mario and yoshi plush keychain and a mario galaxy t shirt, without paying a dime extra. I rather they stick to that than start doing what other companies do and prey on people by selling bits and pieces of the game and worthless toys as "bonuses" for a little extra cash. No I think Nintendo's got the right idea.I wonder if there will be anythign special to it aside from just the packaging

per the article in that link it seems that they would be something inside beside the game... yet no confirmed by N.If it's not more then a tin it's another wasted opportunity

nintendo has given you plenty of extra things with their games that arent even limited editions. if its $5 dollars extra as some one else siad why not. tin probably costs that much anyway without the design and such.
That looks awesome, I want it :P
So do we get this for pre ordering the game as a bonus?, or does everyone who buys the game get it?
If we get it for pre ordering is it with Gamestop/EB Games or is it only select stores?, and is it only available in Canada or the US?
Or is it a Club Nintendo reward?
Just wondering because I already pre ordered the game at EB Games.

the wii wheel =D. the zapper came with a free game. thhe wii came wiith a free game etc. u know those stuff
Its only available through a retailer in the UK, it seems that certain article left that point out, so i dont think it will come stateside. That looks awesome, I want it :P

I'm sure there is more than just the tin. If anything look at the size of it. It would probably be just big enoug to fit a game case if that's all that as in it. There's some swag ;)
And I wonder what the price is? $59 I'm sure.

First of all any give away from a store does not count, so let's just take that right off the table
Now the Wii Wheel is not a free pack in as people had the option to buy 2 different versions of Excitebots at two different prices, one with the wheel and one without the wheel
The Zapper didn't come with a free game, the entire package was that price. If you want to say either the game or the Zapper was free I'll see you halfway
The Wii does not come with a free game.
Maybe extra character skins, an art book, special casing, a little toy, and MAYBE an SMG2 demo? That would be an awesome LE.enterawesome
Lol, SMG2 demo would be insanely cool:P
In reality though I think that an art book would be cool, or maybe a wii skin or something?
