FF Tactics A2 is pretty long especially if you try and completely beat it, that would probably take you 60 hours im thinkin.

Etrian Odyssey is about 120 hours with a 10-20 hour post game, EOII is about 125 (or 200 if you REALLY want to get to level 99).
Dragon Quest IV is 40, DQV is 50-60. DQM is about 15, and DQJ is about 90. So definetely not the Dragon Quests.
Pokemon D/P are about 120, Platinum is about 130. Each of the dungeon games take about 30, and take 70 to beat all the "post storyline".
FFIII takes about 50 (probably 70 if you use the guide), FFIV takes about 40, FFRW takes about 40 as well, FF:Chocobo's Tales takes about 25, FF:TA2 takes about 80, but all the sidequests takes anywhere from 120-250 (seen that on two seperate game carts too) and FF:CC takes about 35.
So Platinum wins with the extra content, but FF:TA2 really has the most end-game content (second are the Pokemon Dungeon games). I think I covered all the longer ones, but someone can shout out if they know one that lasts longer.
Suikoden Tierkreis runs over 70 hours if you aim to recruit the 108 characters.

Thanks.
I picked up Prof Layton instead of this during Best Buy's buy two get one free deal two weeks ago. I figured it might hit the 50 mark but at 70 to recruit them all would make this the longest Suikoden game ever.
And yes I know about Disgaea DS. The problem there is that someone who doesn't know what they're doing could "beat" the game in an hour. Plus an average play through is only 30 hours, the reason the game takes longer than that is because of item world and going through the assembly. These things are complete optional and can be skipped, whereas FFTA2 these things aren't optional because the only way to finish the game is to go through them.
But since you'll probably insist, Disgaea takes 30 hours, 70 in order to finish post-game content.
The World Ends With You, There is so much to do in this game. and when you beat the game, you will want to beat it again.

Now there IS a reason I didn't post TWEWY, and that's because the playtime in the game is artificial. Almost every report I read involved someone needlessly leaving the DS on just to get experience to boost their badge. It was an artificial lengthener (much like the time experience as well) that contributes nothing to the game but as a way to deter fast completion.
From what I understand, TWETY takes about 20 hours to beat, which doesn't even cover dollars/hours from the original MSRP. So I didn't include it.
I was thinking of getting that game, but never did bought it. I would consider it meiman!Disgaea is 60 hours of storyline (40 if you know what you're doing), and can easily score 140 hours due to the extras.

how do i ask a ask someone something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!evanrpgYou push the Quote button by the person you want to quote, or a faster way is to push "Quick Quote".
Technically, an RPG that takes 30 hours for lets saySirSpudly, can take 60 hours for me or you. Besides considering the optionals and post game content, the main game really takes about as long as you make it because you can stop to grind before a boss, explore every nook and cranny, invest in talking to every single person, and try desperatly to reach an area blocked over for hours without knowing it's impossible. Of course the time thing mainly applies to me, since I suck at RPGs and everything else, so take my advice with a grain of pepper.. crushed.. and finely graded.jjtiebuckle
I usually take whatever game time and subtract 10 hours to show how long it could take to beat because I do look for sidequests before close to the end of the game (something I've done since FF9). By doing so, I usually stay a level or two above necessary to beat a game, thus making the rest of the game feel easy, instead of moderately difficult like a lot of people enjoy them.
I don't rush through games, anyone who has looked at my game collection just knows that I keep at the same games for a rather long time, which is the only way to beat them with so many more coming out.
