psp will live longer then ds but ds is still rly cool

id say another couple years, plus sony will probably will release new kinda psp and xbox might get into the portable systems and then nintendo will create a better handheld then ds prob still with touchscreen

lol What the heck dude. The PSP or PS3 arent failing. There is room for 2 handhelds in the market, and certainly enough room for 3 consoles in the console market. After all, Nintendo is doing just fine after almost 12 years of domination from Sony right? Well, the DS is completely dominating the PSP, but the PSP isnt failing either. That's some crazy logic there.

Anyway, I kinda was wondering the same thing the thread starter was. I was debating on buying a DS now or waiting for Nintendo to come out with a new handheld. I went ahead and bought a DS, and it's freaking awesome. Longlive the DS.

Wasn't there originally a 10 year plan for the DS so there's probably 7 more years of the DS before nintendo comes out with another system

Well, to be fair, UMD's were never a big peice of the PSP's pie. It was supposed to, but never took off. The PSP is/has been what it is without UMD the whole time.
