There is a need for a good life sim on wii, I got animal crossing like 3 years ago. But I do agree than Animal Crossing IS a great game, but this game just looks SO much better.
I really wish that there was more of an RPG loving audience on the wii.
New update: The Game is called King Story, and Screens were released!
Anyone got the link? I think ign does...
I've got some info.

King Story's First Details -
Chatting with CVG, he's said the game will be a "single-player life-sim set in Europe". They're aiming for more than that, though: it's a god-sim of sorts, with your goal to shape the world around you...you just do it one conversation at a time.
"...the player will select one person [to perform a task], and he will go off and talk to several other people, who will then start to change the world around the player."
Promising! Other tidbits include an emphasis on building up relationships with other characters in the game and that they're not considering any wi-fi or multiplayer features. It's not due until well into next year, but that's no reason to not get all excited.

A.I. - NPC characters move according to AI routines, following their own schedules, making friends, and appearing to carry about their lives. Yasunaga is working on this area of the game with a programmer, and is currently considering the details of the various life patterns.
The life simulation has three parts to it. NPC characters will have their own life, doing things like going to work and coming home to sleep. They'll have reactions to other characters, saluting their superior officers during encounters, for instance.
The third area is memory. Each NPC character will retain a record of things that happened in the past. Yasunaga gave the example of characters walking down a street that they used to traverse with a girlfriend who has died. The NPCs will also remember things that happened during gameplay. For instance, if a character kills a monster, he'll boast about it in town.
Characters will have their own set of AI rules. Unlike World Neverland where, according to Yasunaga, 120 people behaved according to the same AI, Project O's characters behave in accordance with their professions. The game will have scores of different AI routines.
Town Growth - the game will also feature a growing city. Your city might actually start off as a village, growing in scale as the game progresses. The developers are hoping that players will boast about the state of their town to their friends.

Thanks alot guys!
Now, is this game going to come out in North America...
Come on, we need to support this genre on the Wii!
There's no real need for one just yet when you can just play Animal Crossing (GC). It's a really great game. I still play the DS version from time to time.PikaPichu
lol, I got bored after like a year and a half of playing it everyday. "I'll give you money if you perform 63 random tasks that require you to run around in circles for 7 hours" :P. lol Awesome Crossing.
Anyways, I can't wait for this to come out. I really need a new RPG (I'm playing through Tales of Symphonia for my millionth time, getting pumped for Tales of Symphonia 2 :P).
I love the art style they used for coloring. It's like they took a few gallons of different clors of paint and just threw it on the buildings and smoothened the edges out by blending. It truley is unique.
Also, whoever said the Majesty thing, I completely agree. Majesty was amazing.
