SOME being the key word. Actually, i can only think of 3. And it's only 1 screen.

Your.... ignorant. lemme name some good games. Golden Sun 1 and 2 were great RPGS. so theres 2 right there Pokemon games, theres 5 from there if u like em all so there 5+2= 7 games. Im not gonna name ports but if i did there would be like 10(really random nuumber guess) so 17... Harvest Moon was pretty fun. 18... Im gonna stop there but theres more.I havent played ff3 yet, so I wouldent kno if thats a good RPG. But Mario and luigi game for the DS a pretty good. but if you looking for a good RPG, The gba offers more titles in that genre.
like..
lunar legend
Tales of Phantasia
Golden sun 1 and 2
and all those final fantasy gamesÂ
Argh. I'm just going to ignore that few post up. To the topic creator, lots of good RPGs can be found in the GBA library. If you like Final Fantasy, the ports will make a good choice (especially IV and VI for the story). Golden Sun 1is exceptionally good and engaging, and I'm pretty sure the follow-up is as well. If you're a Mario fan and want something lighthearted, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga will definitely charm your pants off. There are more titles out there, but I can't think of any and comment on them as well at the top of my head. For DS games, the RPG selection is pretty limited. FFIII is a good buy although the plot is rather meh. Contact is ok if you have lots of patience for the auto-attack battles. The following are games I haven't played yet, but might be worth checking out. Magical Starsign, Children of Mana, Lost Magic, Izuna and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time.mufujifi
Yes I agree that the RPG's on the Ds are limited, and i think they need to make more. But if you looking for a good RPG right now, its not on the DS. Contact,Magical Starsign, Children of Mana, Lost magic and Izuna are horrible example of a Great Handheld Rpg. They are all average games
not to mention all of the castlvania games on the GBA
All of those are great hits, but are old, and you might have trouble finding them

But some people enjoy playing them nonetheless. Like the hardcore RPG fans, they would enjoy Izuna immensely because it's merciless on the difficulty level. I'm just basically listing some RPG choices on the DS system. And oh man I forgot. Castlevania, yeh. There's a good action-adventure-RPG on the DS.
there is going to land a grandslam tsunami of ds rpg's soon though; there already already:
FFIII,
Castlevania DoS and PoR
mario and luigi partners in time (which unfortunately i couldn't really enjoy after I played half of it )
Fossil League: Dino Tournament Championship
Digimon World DS
Magical Starsign
Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team
Pokemon Ranger
LostMagic
we're getting:
FFXII: RW,
the new pokemon game,
Dragon Quest Monsters: joker
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo
and.... some more.. too bad I'm pretty forgetful. lol.

It's funny how your name is 'gameboi' lol.Lost Magic is a pretty good game.. IMO.. as the tittle say its about magic.. you are a sorcerer going out for an adventure to save the planet.. (i know.. not very original.. lol)
Â
its a fun game which you can use a lot of time in.. Â
There's 2 castlevania games for DS, Castlevania something of sorrw (forgot the name) and Castlevania Portrait of ruinnot to mention all of the castlvania games on the GBA
All of those are great hits, but are old, and you might have trouble finding them
gameguru43
I'm thinking now between magical Starsign and Mario & Luigi: Partners in time (FF3 isn't released yet in my country, I'm from belgium)
Magical Starsign seems okay, I want some classic rpg-action and so what if it's easy and simple, nothing wrong with that right?Â

Hegna1
I've played all of the handheld Castlvanies and the three on the GBA are much better then the ones on the DS.
and its called Dawn of sorrowÂ
I would suggest Pokemon Ranger and I'm probably going to pick up Pokemon Diamond or Pearl.:D092093
yes i'm deffinetly picking up Pokemon Diamond when it comes out. Not so much Pokemon Ranger. It looks like a cheap ripoff of the original.Â
