Buy the WII U. Also take a long walk off a short pier, jump out of a plane without parachute, fight a bear wearing only a pair of sox,put your hand in the fire for 3 mins, then run for prez.

Anything else you would like to have taken control over just ask lol.

PS just in case... all those things are dangerous so DO NOT DO THEM especially buying the WII U.(glad to help you decide)

Yes. Get the Wii U. -If you can get a Wii dirt cheap somewhere and you don't really want to spend 300/350 on Wii U, then sure, do whatever~

(hm.. I'm not sure you can play Gamecube games on Wii U...better check that out)

I read somewhere you'll be able to transfer virtual console purchases from Wii to Wii U.

Off topic: I'm getting a Wii U very soon ^^

Ignore the two previous posters horrible ideas

You're looking for a way to play Gamecube games, the Wii U does not.

Here's a fun fact though, neither does the newer Wii consoles.

Track down an older Wii and get that, when the Wii U has enough titles to warrant a purchase from you it'll be readily available.

The WiiU isn't backwards compatible with GameCube games. If you want to play GameCube games, buy a used Wii.

Why not just buy a Gamecube and save a ton of money until you can even get a Wii U? Sure you could buy an older Wii, but it's not like the older games are upconverted with better quality or anything. There is no point what so ever right now to even consider a Wii.

A lot of Wii specials around Black Friday have it at 89-99 bucks with games (You can buy used for cheap too and it could still have the GC BC). If you can't get a WiiU, get the Wii if the WiiU games aren't interesting you anyway.

Completely wrong

It's next to impossible to get component cables for the best possible picture on the Gamecube.

For the price of a set of Gamecube component cables he can buy a Wii and have change left over.

Jayson is right this time. Search for the "old model" Wii.

If I were you, just get the WiiU. You get the Wii library, VC, and incoming WiiU games for the next 6-7 years. Doesn't play GC games (and neither does the newer Wii models) but GCs sell for dirt cheap these days anyway. I bought one last month for $20.
