Is the series very good in your opinion? If yes, which game in the series is the best and why?

I have the first one and it's kind of fun. I play it for short periods of time once every couple months. It's a good castaway survival game if that's what you are looking for. The graphics are pretty good too.

Story wise it's decent. The quests make sense and once you know where to go, exploring is second nature. The problem (one BIG problem) is the gameplay is repetitive. By that I mean you need to collect wood to keep a fire and over time you drain food/ water energy from exploring. So you have to collect food and water to replenish the same energy you're using to find food and water. And the cycle never ends.. of course, you eventually learn/ uncover more useful methods of recovering and maintaining your health, which would be fine and all for exploring if you didn't have someone else to feed. That's right - not only are you wasting energy trying to collect food and water for yourself, but also another person. You can't explore too far everyday before your "partner" becomes hungry, tired, or thirsty. So the whole time in your head you think "ok today I'm going to scale those cliffs and approach the ruins" when in reality it's more like "ok I'm going to collect supplies for the next 5 days so I can explore for 1 day and hope my partner doesn't die" which ends the game, if I forgot to mention. If you didn't need to constantly replenish your food, water, and energy (sitting/ sleeping is necessary) within a time limit to your partners life, the game wouldn't be half bad. But after awhile boredom sets in and you'll leave the poor stranded island for something more.. well Anything really.
