- Miyamoto was very specific on DK's ground pound, he wanted the right type of animation
- Miyamoto was very emphatic on the direction of Retro's DK, saying that they are making a better DKC
- It was 10 years when they brought back Metroid and now they're bringing back DK, lol maybe in 10 years we'll get Star Fox
- In 2008 Retro lost some key personnel and ended their experiment game (rumors say they were working on their own Zelda), Miyamoto wanted a new DKC so they gave the project to Retro Studios
- The project began in April and was codenamed F8
- DK can go to the background and foreground with the help of some barrels
- 2 player co-op
- In one player Diddy clings on DKs back and gives him his 2 heart points for a
total of 4, but on co-op both have 2 hearts.
- The diddy player can cling on DK for jetpack boost or shoot peanut projectiles by himself
- This helps when there's an inexperience and experience co-op, if the inexperience player doesn't feel like he's up to it he can cling on DK, let DK do everything but help him out with the jetpack, if both are experienced they can both do whatever they want
- Mine cart levels are tough
- You can play with wiimote+nunchuck or just wiimote
- Shake the controller/controllers to do the pound move
- DK can blow air but why you can do so is not explained
- Won't confirm the return of Cranky or Lanky
- Miyamoto wanted to reach to a certain point of DKs legacy to draw inspiration from
- They know people want the return of the animals like the rhino but they can't confirm or not if they'll return
- No water levels
- The original water levels felt slow so they broke the pace of the game
- King K.Rool will not return
- No alligators
- At first they were working hard to make a good story, but realize that 'Guy stealing bananas, must get them back' will do
Oh and here is video showing all four levels at E3 2010
