Wondering what the opinions are of this game.  The reviews are pretty all over the place, so I am looking for some player opinions.

Personally I thought its one of the best for the 3DS, although I admit to being biased in favor of nintendo :P. The gameplay can get a bit tedious and the storyline is fairly straightforward but as a whole, its very fun and satisifying.

Reviews all over the place? It's been well received from what I can tell.

I finished it two weeks ago; it was a fantastic experience overall. Get it! :D

Isn't gamespot the only review that can be considered poor? I just got the game today still sealed got work for University so can't play it yet.

huh... maybe GS was the only crappy one. Yeah, it does seem to be pretty popular. Guess it's a solid buy

It's definitely one of the better 3DS games, but I can understand some of the GS complaints. Having to do everything all over again because you die is a bit of a pain. Checkpoints would have been appreciated.

just finished it 2 days ago.. i would say its good but not THAT good.. its an okay game overall a bit fun and repetive, would appricate it more if it wasnt made on levels to clear and instead open gameplay and saving anytime u want.

Great game. I prefer the structure of the first game as opposed to the mission based structure of this one, though. Multiplayer is kind of lame.

Solid game, but I would have to agree with the major complaint Gamespot had. Some of the missions can be a slog, and without midpoints in the missions, if you die, you get to slog back through the whole damn mission.

Reviews are all over the place? On metacritic only 8 of 68 professional reviews score the game below 8.0 / AA. 34 of 68 (so exactly half) of the reviews rated it as 9.0 or above. The consensus puts it at about 85/100. It's a great, well crafted game. Personally I just didn't like the ghosts / atmosphere as much as the original but I'd still give it an 8.5. I'd even say it's a bit of a must have -- and the 3D is some of the best on the system. If the premise of the game appeals to you, then odds are you'll really like it.

On the final Mansion, haven't died once. Teh skillz are teh mad.

The game is charming, a bit repetitive as someone already said. The puzzles aren't overwhelming but I've been stuck a few times, didn't need a guide though.

It's a great game, although the original Luigi's Mansion was WAY better in every aspect expect length.

The original Luigi's Mansion is far better in almost every way. The sequel is very disappointing.

GameSpot under rated Luigi's Mansion 2, I haven't beat it yet (I've got loads of games to play), but I put more time into this game then I did with Star Fox 64 3D.
