I own Madden 06 on the DS and it's a good experience if you can get past the blocky graphics. With recent years, the rreview scores have been consistently higher, so obviously the quality must be improving. For 08, they got rid of the stylus-controlled kicking, which nearly kills the older ones right from the start. According to reviews, 08 has better graphics, if only a bit. And there is finally Wi-Fi in the franchise now, although i'm doubting anyone plays it online.

I enjoyed 06 when i would play it. I say buy it if you're interested, but know that what you're buying isn't a console game, and you should be careful not to compare it to console iterations.

Enjoy:)

It always helps to keep perspective when buying any game... especially when it's on a hand-held. Yeah, the graphics are "blocky", but how does the game play? That's usually what I'm interested in knowing, but then I come from the age before "PONG" where imagination was a requirement in most forms of entertainment.

The DS has some great games that just happen not to look as good as a console or the PSP, but I would rather be playing them because they inovate on control and gameplay with the platform... plus I can still watch television or a movie while I'm gaming which is a plus. Don't let graphics rule your world, if you do you'll miss out on great games like "Tetris". Just because sports games don't look "as good" doesn't mean they're not the @$#%!... "Tiger Woods" on the DS is awesome due to the swing control on the touch pad, which pulls me into the play a lot more than a comprehensive GameFace Editor...
I say, get the Madden... especially if you like football games. It got glowing reviews and all of them touted the gameplay as Good Stuff.
