yea media hype might help sell this game
Okay,so one violent game will "spoil" the family-friendly image of a console with dozens of these family-friendly games.Got it.Because the image of a console would clearly matter to them. And if the parents don't approve of the game...then they shouldn't buy it?Hm...VGobbsesser
parents havnt gotten that memo yet >_>
"here i come to ruin your fun!"

it's a shame he's facing disbarrment because I would like to see what he would say about this game
Parents get the arse, if something bad comes is realesed on something they can't control, so lets see, parents a complaining, because there has be a Graphically not cuddly and fluffy game realesed for the wii, and they are worried that there little Johnny or Jane are going to play it and turn in to homicidal maniacs.
Parents should learn to teach their kids No means no and that their kids shoudn't get their own way.
Let us people that bought the wii for non shovel ware and pointless garbage that parents, should stop buying for their little kids and wrecking it for everyone else.
besides if im talking a flipping foreign language, don't parents know what
PARENTAL CONTROLS ARE FLIPPING FOR.
sorry to sound a bit miffed but, im sick of it, i would love to know if parents flipping understand what 18 certificate means or a 15 certificate means on a game. do they think that it is just a toy for kids, and do they understand that adults play games aswell.
i feel better for a good rant on a subject like this.
Nobody ever said that the Wii would be completely family friendly. Why do they care if a violent game is on the wii? Is someone forcing them and their kids to buy it and play it?AdRock92
ohh yes, platinum games and sega are holding them at gunpoint to buy it
Manhunt 2, didn't ruin the wii too bad. Now Madworld is going to ruin the wii? It's like these people don't even look at what's on the system, before saying there's nothing like this on are family's console.Minishdriveby
No More Heroes didn't ruin the Wii either
Crap. The BBFC has effectively banned Manhunt 2 here (wasnt there an appeal that was supposed to lead to a release?), and now theyre going to ban this.
Well, if so, Im importing and using the homebrew channel. :|

neither did resident evil 4 honestly, just dont buy the game, its not that hardI've just read some paragraphs, but what is amazing is that I see more complains about the fact it is on Wii than the usual "kids gonna kill for real after this".
Most violent game ever? Give me a break.
"We need to ensure that modern and civilized values take priority rather than killing and maiming people."
Maybe we delight in murdering people in video games because humans naturally like that kind of stuff!!!Seriously, the Romans and their deathfights in colosseums, anyone??And also because the above bolded stuff is mind bogglingly boring!!!
But of course, these are the British, who drink tea all day.No offense to any British persons.:P
lol, stupid parents, you don't realise it's like free advertising
as for what they should do... not let their kids buy it?
"We need to ensure that modern and civilized values take priority rather than killing and maiming people."
Sure, such as drinking tea all day and murdering people over soccer games.
*To give context, the guy who said that was British*

well sad as it sounds that tea may be spiked, leading to the drunken fights over football, and onwards

Sorry,my edit apparently messed you up.:P
Here's something I found interesting in this read.
It seems a shame that the game's manufacturer have decided to exclusively release this game on the Wii.
-.-'
Come on now.

couldn't have said it better my friend.
Why don't parents just not let their kids play the game? Well... then that would mean they would have to do their jobs and be parents. They'd rather have the government ban all games and do the parenting for them.
There are certain things in all forms of media that are meant for adults... movies, music, etc. Why should video games be any different?
I also hope these parents realize that kids under 17 aren't even allowed to buy the game. The only way for them to get their hands on it would be for the parents to buy it.

I notice a lot of people saying if it's so bad don't buy it. Well it's a WiiWare game is it not. If the kid goes on the Wii Shop Channel and has Points he has instant access to any game on there if he chooses one. Well, the parents are scared that what's going to happen is the kid could download it as long as it's there and they don't want that type of content exposed to their kid's.GamerBoy53
uhh...its not Wii ware

It's not a WiiWare game. It's a regular retail game.

If the parents did their job and monitored what their kids were playing, this wouldn't be a problem.

Oh... I always heard it was Wiiware... OK. Forget about my last post. where you hear that lol? Throughout the forums. Probably just uninformed newbies. How come only video games get this kind of bad rep? I know it has to do with all the "stereotypes", but it still puzzles me as to why we're stuck in an era of the past.
When a violent movie like Saw comes out, do parents rush to throw out their DVD players because they are no longer "family friendly?" This is nothing short of complete and utter nonsense, and I'm happy the "next gen" of parents (the ones who grew up with games and seem to have common sense on the matter) are coming up and we can put an end to the ignorance that exists in today's current social environment.
