I love Majora's Mask. But I still can't decide on which I like better. Wish Nintendo would hurry up and put it on Virtual Console.Dark_Knight6
Same here.
I prefer OOT, because Majoras has way to much emphasis on the side quests. Like 5000 rupees to get a heart piece? cmon. ITs also pretty buggy and freezes alot. ANyway, Im playing it right now on the wii, With the Zelda: collectors edition Gamecube disc.stormydog1
The freezing problems only happens on the GC version. The N64 version is better. Hopefully the VC version will be like the N64 one.
I like Majora's Mask better than OoT for a multiple of reasons. Sidequests, characters, storyline, atmosphere, difficulty, music, environment, the masks...
I really don't have a true favorite Zelda game, as they all have qualities that are better than some others.

Yeah, that freezing problem isn't Majora's Mask's fault, it's a result of a sloppy port to the Gamecube. It's unfair to dislike Majora's Mask because of that.
Anyway, I'd say I give the edge to Majora's Mask when compared to Ocarina of Time, though they really are both amazing. I guess it's because I love side-quests, but its also because of the brillant time based gameplay mechanics (which either made you love or hate the game).Â
Both are great games, but I prefer Majora's Mask. I feel it surpassed OoT in many different ways. Every single NPC serves a purpose in the game and has a lot of personality. I always found it interesting to learn a character's schedule by following them around for three days. Plus, the use of the N64 expansion pack enhanced the graphics slightly, so some new special effects were introduced, including the motion blur effect we see on just about every PS2 game. Also, the story didn't involve Ganon or Zelda, so it was nice to see a new villain! :D

I hope to see this on the Virtual Console soon in a higher res, as I can't stand the blurriness of the N64 version anymore.
I love them both to death, but I prefer MM over Oot 51% to 49%
they were both epic in their own ways but I prefer major sidequests
Guys I'm gonna have to be honest here.
1. Twilight Princess
2. Ocarina of Time (2 next to Ocarina of Time... weird to see but yeah)
3. The Windwaker
4. Majora's Mask
There's nothing wrong with Majora's Mask, I just don't like it as much. I think it was very original, something I liked a lot, but the story is my favorite part of Zelda games. Twilight Princess's story was enormous, and I personally loved it. I have no clue why you wouldn't like it. Plus it had enough sidequests to keep you lot busy. Ocarina of Time was a little to corny sometimes, and I'm gonna have to dock it for making us watch King Zora move his ass like 3 inches over the course of 5 minutes. Windwaker... story too short, but otherwise plenty of fun. That's aside from the annoyingly cartoony graphics. Majora's Mask was even more so: less story, more sidequest. So that's just my opinion. I like the main plot. That's why I buy a Zelda game. TP is my favorite. Amazingly. It surpassed my expectations. That's saying a lot too.
Iliked
