If you want to play Majoras Mask on the wii, buy the Zelda Collection disc for the gamecube. Thats what i've done, I have both nes zelda games and both n64 zelda games. I even have the OoT masters quest disc. I believe it works out cheaper than buying the VC versions.freaky_seb
I've noticed that that version of Majora's Mask freezes occasionally on the Wii - however, it might just be my disc. Either way, I'm content with playing it on my N64. :P
[QUOTE="Slingblade1170"]Every zelda game? you even mean the ones from 1995 on the Philips home console. Not being a smartass or anything just be a little more specific.Every Zelda game needs to be on VC already.

You could argue that those games don't really count as actual Zelda games ;)
Â
Anyhow, the N64-version of the game utilized a RAM expansion. The VC-games on Wii run on emulators, meaning that MM could have difficulties running smoothley. If anyone here can argue against my claim, that would be great.

i have the same ones. (the bonus discs) but the odds of someone running off today and finding it used at a video shop are pretty slim. and from most people i know, many people have never even played majora's mask. i refused to buy the expansion for the N64, so i never even played MM until i got my mits on the zelda collection. and i consider myself lucky having ever gotten it in the first place.Â

well la-tee-da
Bump. We seriously need to get Nintendo to do just this. The other four Zeldas are there, and that's the only one I really want on there, because I got old Zelda for the classic NES GBA game, don't even want Adventure of Link, have A Link to the Past with Four Swords for GBA, and have OoT from the Wind Waker pre-order. Grr...
They'll probably release it to help hype the next Zelda on Wii, as said above.

Game Boy games on the VC anyone? I'd love to see Link's Awakening DX show up, though the pixels would probably be monstrous. About Majora's Mask: I never got a chance to play it and I'm looking forward to the opportunity.
Makes me glad that I got my hands on the Zelda Collectors Edition for the Cube way back when. (includes OoT, Majoraa Mask, Zelda 1 & 2.)
Not really missing out an any Wii specific visual/audio boosts either. The collectors edition supports 480p, surround sound, and the games are displayed in full screen, without pillar boxing.
lol this thread needs to live i want my majoras mask
1 i had it for n64 the one with the scratchy front not the sticker and it broke i had the colectors edition but it was stolen for being uber cool ;( i will gladly put down the cash for this game and smash bros original ;D

YES that's what came with my gamecube in a bundle when i got it like 5 years ago... if it wasnt for that bundle... i probably would be wondering what "zelda" is right now :P but now its by favorite game on earth!!! now that's destiny
very often they release vc games to coincide with the release of a wii game in the same series. For instance a couple of zelda games were released around twilight princess.
I'm guessing that majora's mask will release maybe a month before the next zelda on the wii. So we might have to wait a year

It's not your disc. Mine occasionally freezes while playing it on the Gamecube as well. Save often. Are you serious about playing it on N64? The higher resolution of the Gamecube disc makes it look much better than the original N64 version. I can't go back to the N64 versions of Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. The N64 did not age well.

they put it on the GC so they could port that version to the VC, although that version did have some bugs
anyways they will release it a few weeks before the next Zelda so they have awhile to figure it out
