Making money early in Pokemon Platinum

I am literally down to 0 dollars in-game, cant beat the 2nd gym leader, don't have any potions, and I've already won every trainer battle that I can find. I need to know how to get enough money to buy a few potions this early in the game. Help?TehAstro

How did you run out of money so fast? Well, if you have any spare items that you don't need, you could try selling them for money. If you don't want to sell your items, you could try digging underground for items with the explorer kit, which you get from the Underground Man in Eterna city (the house next to the Pokemon center), and you could sell those items for some money. You could also try training your Pokémon against wild Pokémon, so that you don't need to use a potion.

Where do I sell the stuff I get underground? I have a lot of blue,green, and red gem-like things.TehAstro

you can't sell the spheres. If you get any other items like the heart scale, an evolution stone, a shard, etc.; you can sell them. Remember to move the items from the "Treasure" option in your menu to your backpack / purse, so that they will come up with you when you leave the underground. All items in the "Treasure" section in your menu can be sold. Just sell the items at any Pokémart.
