on the fence about this one, they say that so much is now censored and that the first manhunt is more gruesome, sounds like rockstar edited out the most interesting part of the game.
When Manhunt first came out on PS2, I swear the commercials for that game never came out during the daytime. I remember watching the commercial at the hours of 12-3 A.M. on UPN. Rockstar kept quiet about Manhunt just when the game hit stores un-edited.
But this game, even though a 7.5 is not bad, but I feel like I'm getting a censored game. It's almost like buying the new GTA: San Andreas game now than the uncut GTA:SA when it first came out in the first month.
No Manhunt for me either. I never played the first one but was looking forward to this one on the Wii until it got censored. The ESRB is terrible, in my opinion, and we really don't need it... but whatever, it'll never go away.

It's a budget game with cool controls and a mature gameplay that isn't too common on the Wii. I was looking forward to something more, but I'll still pick it up tomorrow just in time for Halloween.

@dieworm because I don't feel like quoting. A 7.7 on IGN really isnt that good of a score because of how lenient they are. It is definitely mediocre compared expectations. Also, don't forget that ignorance is bliss :D

We DO need the ESRB, since without it the government will step in to substitute. (just as they threatened to do if industry did not form its own rating board)
Not that I care for it personally. I don't care so much that they would censor these types of games, but the divide its created as a byproduct (with a lot of gamers choosing not to play good games simply because their rated E) is unfortunate.

Its not mediorce. Its depends if its your type of game. If a website gave the first one a lowscore then they are going to give this one a low score. Its basicaly if you didint like the first then you wont like this game. I think of this game as a cult game. Just like other games that are out there.
Honestly if the only redeming factor for a game is blood and gore than it's not worth getting especially now that it's edited, it looks like one of those rental games, I won't buy this but I'll rent it for Halloween.
