Mario 64 vs. Mario Sunshine vs. Mario Galaxy! Which Is Better?

Super Mario Galaxy is the best of the bunch,and is one of,if not,the best platformer to come out of Nintendo.Super Mario 64 is a good game by today's standards,but the game is just too dated; the game has had its run,but it's been surpassed.Meanwhile,Super Mario Sunshine is easily the worst of main franchise,and is absolute garbage compared to the likes of Super Mario Galaxy.VGobbsesser

I just didn't dig the space/planets setting of Mario Galaxy at all.

It is between Galaxy and Sunshine for I would say Galaxy it was close because I liked both alot.

I would really reccomend playing M64... you could probably find it for DS pretty cheap (dunno if it's on VC).

Anyways, I'd probably say Sunshine. I know a lot of people will probably say 64 for nostalgic reasons, but I just feel like it got repetetive. I know that's probably not true, I just don't know how to describe it.

And btw, IMO... Galaxy is probably the single most overrated game this gen. Not to say it's bad, though, again, dunno how to describe it....

Mario Galaxy just amazed me so much when I played it for the first time. Mario 64 is good but Super Mario Galaxy is just simply unbelieveable in terms of level design,music and gameplay. Super Mario Sunshine was okay but not up to the Mario standards of awesome.

I voted Super Mario Galaxy. It's easily the best 3D Mario game in my books, and the 2nd best Mario game of all time behind Super Mario World. The soundtrack for Galaxy is epic and puts even SSBB's soundtracks down on their knees.

My order would be:

1: Mario 64

2: Mario Sunshine

3: Mario Galaxy

Funny. I found Mario Galaxy's unique levels to be a step up from the monotone tropical levels of Mario Sunshine.

what I didn't like about Galaxy was that the land wasn't all that expansive like Sunshine (WindWaker has this same problem). And I hate using the Wiimote for a game like this.

For me, Sunshine wins. I miss the water jet-pack.

Some people are so easily turned off by a new concept. FLUDD made the platforming more innovative and fun in my opinion. Probably more difficult too, but since when is that a bad thing? It appeals to the "Hardcore Gamers" \m/(=_=)\m/Archangel_2309
