it was an okay game... the only real thing you're given to do is collect emblems and crowns (and the crowns are annoying to collect)... not that great.
It's worth a rental. I myself no longer buy mini game games for Wii. I only have Wii Sports and Warioware. That's enough for me, so I only rented this game. It was enjoyable.
I think some of it does depend on how many other minigame collections you have. Other than Wii Sports the only other minigame collection I had was Brain Academy, which is altogether different. So for my family Mario & Sonic Olympics is fun because it isn't redundant with what we already have.
As far as gameplay goes, some games work better than others. I think the most annoying thing is having to unlock everything only through single player, which is rather counterintuitive to what a game like this should be. But overall I'm not disappointed that I bought it.
Its a perfect rental, i just rented it last sunday and ive been playing it to death ever since, its really alot of fun. I havent tried multiplayer yet but im sure thats even more fun. Rent, dont buy.
