Once agian aron thomes and his bad review scores.I always hated this guy but guess what iam still buyin it. But iam tie to other games right now so it will have to wait.
I, personally, have the game and completely disagree with Eron Thomas(or whatever the hell his name is, i don't give a damn). The controls respond great and are very different one game to another. Everyone this guy says in his review is wrong. If you are thinking of buying this game, look at the player reviews which are for the most over 8.5. If you want a review that's not half-ass go see IGNs, they prove some decent points like the game not having multiplayer vs.
The game is so fun and challenging and it makes you get really tired (probably why fat-ass gamespot reviewers don't like it), but in a good way. Trying to beat the world records and the records of real people is so fun and challenging.
I wish Nintendo had handled it. When I heard that Sega was heading the development my hype for the game dropped almost completely. I'll rent it though, as the IGN review was pretty positive.
First of all, why do you people all trust ProGame Reviewers like IGN and Gamespot when player reviews are just as good and are usually a lot more accurate because it's based on many reviews of people with different opinions and not based on one guy that may just have not liked the game, in this case Eron.
Secondly, I like how Gamespot uses 'you' in their review all the time as if they are in our minds or know that we will like the game or not. Like "Even if you aren't having trouble with an event, you probably won't have much fun--unless you enjoy waving your arms to pretend that you're running". Like if he knows exactly what we think about the game. And people that are saying Nintendo should have handled it, not all Nintendo games are good, especially the Mario sports games spin-offs and Mario Partys (P.S. this game is a lot more fun than Mario Party 8 and uses the movement alot better). But this game, even if it is Sega, is very good. Don't let yourself get controlled by reviewers who have their own opinions.
Lol, it's funny you know, how we all praise GS when they review Galaxy and how we all want to beat the hell out to Eron, but, well... this is GS and they know what they're doing, anyway i still believe that this game is good, to be honest i expect at least a 7.5, i mean after their preview they sound happy with the game, so...how they can change their mind now that the game is out? guess we'll never know.

SEGA has been one of the best third party developers on the Wii.
Super Monkey Ball and Sonic are two of the most highly-rated third party Wii games. Mario and Sonic is getting good scores elsewhere, and Ghost Squad and NiGHTS are looking good too.

I wasn't going to buy this game no matter what score it got. Sports games in general have never really held my interest for to long (the real thing is so much more fun), especially the one's based around Mario. Plus Sonic is in this so that was another big reason for me to stay away.Â
i dont plan on buying the game, but its no suprise to see GS messing up on another review; their opinions on wii games really no longer have an affect on what game i buy. Go to IGN for wii stuff.

You've got to relize 6.0 isn't that bad, 6.0 is the average Wii game score here. I doubt Gamespot changed their mind about it, that doesn't make sense.
I tried searching the DS version, but it's not out yet!? I had the impression they were coming out at the same time. The DS version was the one that interested me in the first place...I think it has Wifi play. not too sure

those scores don't do it justice.. in the wrong way.. those games generally DO suck imo.
Shouldn't the new Sonic the Hedgehog (46%) game be on there too? Let's not forget Shadow (52%) either.
That means that the average score for a post Dreamcast 3D Sonic is 69% which isn't that bad, but that should show how far Sonic has fallen. I wouldn't go so far as to say all 3D Sonic games suck but they are going nowhere fast.
I remember when Sonic meant so much more than he does now, I don't think Sonic is a relevant character anymore but that's just me.
I agree a better finished product would have been nice....and they should of released it, oh, I don't know, A MONTH OR TWO BEFORE THE ACTUAL OLYMPIC GAMES!!!
what would you give it? it seems on par with other reviews out there in wording, and the flaws are similar. are you mad at the lower score only, because the reviews out there aren't that great if you take the time to read them
