Yes, that's usual for all the Mario games going back to the SNES

They're not hard and it's not difficult to get a surplus of lives so they just reset you back to the default each time

you wont die that frequently. star bits rain on you and they give you extra lives every time you get 50 of them (which i find ridiculous >_>), not to mention the mail toad that gives you lots of extra lives if you need them

At least Nintendo doesn't take the extra lives and give them away to some schmuck, the way the government does with your money.

You're confusing taxpayer funded projects that benefit everyone with programs where the government rewards some non-productive person with the fruits of your labors.

Oh come on. The only people that taxes really affect are the rich, and they don't need all that money anyway. What, need a 4th car? 2nd home? It's greedy. Anyway, to the TC, have you never played a 3D Mario game before?

Don't be so naive. Take a look at your W2, and the Medicare and Social Securtiy taxes that you'll never see a dime of. Then think about the payroll taxes your boss is paying to employ you. I don't mind paying taxes for roads, jails, schools, military, etc. but it really burns me up when I'm in the supermarket checkout, and the guy behind me needs my help, in the form of foodstamps, to buy the food, but he didn't have any trouble getting enough cash to buy the cigarettes and beer.

In Canda they give it to Jade Raymond. But when it comes to Mario once you started to be able to go back to levels you beat and get lives from side places and all, it became unncessary to save lives.

I'm being naive? No, you're being greedy. You make enough money to support a gaming hobby, and you want more? Also I'm almost certain you have no idea how much money people get on welfare (here's a hint: it's next to nothing), or how hard it is to get a job when people look at you like a bum because you're on welfare and you live in the ghetto. Don't blame the poor, blame the government for not dealing with the situation properly.

Yeah, you lose all your lives when you reset. Or else you could just stockpile hundreds. >.>

This isnt about politics guys.
