I was just wondering if there are any Rumours or even Facts about a Mario Golf game for the Wii? Toadstool Tour was great, and i am wondering if nintendo already made a statement for a Wii Follow up. (Yes i know that there are other Golf games for the Wii, but i am particularly interested in a Mario one)

I haven't found anything on it yet.  But I'm hoping for it and Maro Baseball to be in the works soon.

I haven't heard anything official, so I decided to check out Camelot's web page. It's all Japanese, so I used Babelfish to translate and it characteristically did a terrible job. But there was a news item from September that seems to say that they were going to show a golf game at the Tokyo Game Show, but cancelled at the last minute.

Regardless, though, I think it's safe to say that Mario Golf is in the works and will be finished in the next year or two, followed by Mario Tennis. Those games were born for the Wii.

I can say with almost 100% certainty that there will be one eventually.  That and Mario Baseball and Mario Tennis.  I mean those games were pretty fun on the gamecube but on the Wii they would be amazing.  Plus, I'm sure they would be huge sellers.  Nintendo would be crazy not to make them.  The wii was designed for these sort of games.

I'm sure it will come out. I loved Wii Golf and I can't wait to see if they will keep the same controls for mario golf.

Nintendo filed a trademark in Japan recently for a title called Mario Open Golf.

Mario golf and tennis would be very fun on the Wii, but I think they should add more features than their predecessors.

Especially Tennis. I found that Mario Power Tennis was very dry in terms of unlockables.

i think Nintendo should stick with Wii sports sequels.  Seriously, I don't want to see an army of Mario games again.

Mario Golf needs to happen, I'm sure Camelot and Nintendo both know that very well.

Quite the  opposite. The more games with the fat Italian plumber the better. Mario pwns.

They do play very well, but I will have to close this thread because this one is really old.

If you want any questions answered, just create a new one. :D
