I was looking at the wii review for the downloadable Mario Kart 64, it got a 6.2. I found this pretty outrageous cause I would rate this as highly as Goldeneye and Smash Bros. I put this down to the fact that gamespot had thought it out dated but when i looked up the original MK 64 review it got a 6.4... shocking.
I've always thought (and for once, plenty of people agree) that Mario Kart 64 was a mediocre game, and certainly the weakest in its illustrious family.

The critics didn't like it because the graphics didn't come out the same as they did in the original, IGN on the other hand, gave it a solid 7.9.

Yea, You guessed it, this exact game. most people prefer the more simplistic days where there were only 3 pick ups, and anyway maybe he doesn't like the mario of today either

yeah but its still not the 9.something it deserves.
Every single Mario Kart game that Nintendo has made has been awesome. In my opinion, the order goes as follows:
1). Double Dash
2). Mario Kart DS
3). Super Mario Kart (SNES)
4). Mario Kart 64
5). Mario Kart (GBA)

Let me fix your order 1 MKDS 2 Super MK 3 MK64 4 Double Dash 5 GBA Double Dash is an awful game, if the truly unoriginal GBA game didn't come out, it would easily be the worst of the series
Everything was good about it. It took everything great from the series, and perfected it. It's definately the best MK, and one of my favourite games ever. Drifting became absolutely amazing, the new items are awesome, three karts per racer, and some of the BEST track designs in any racer ever. Plus 16 from the older MK games. You need this game, as does every other DS owner.
