i didn't experience any lag either. and i won to.. i love this game.
i completed the 50cc class yesterday, and so did my girlfriend. after that i played some online.. great.. t bad you can't talk to anyone, but it's not that big a deal..
i experimented with all controls (except for classic.. but that;s the same as the gamecube controller so...) and all work really well. The steering wheel worked far better than i expected. it's really responsive and i think many people will love it.
Personally i preferred the wiimote and nunchuck for controlling the karts (and bikes). It's way more comfortable thatn the gamecube controller and you can use the motion sensor for stunts.

I agree wholeheartedly. This game is the best Mario Kart I've played, and I played them all except for the SNES one.
The online is great, no lag whatsoever. The only complaint is about the infamous friend codes and the lack of chat, but they end up being insignificant problems.
I recommend this game to everyone that likes to have fun.
Ok well congrats to europe and damn u at the same time but we get **** early sometimes b4 you all so it works out but I want MK now OH well

i'm glad europe's finding all the bugs (if there are any) and can get a bunch of FC's listed so we can start right up when MKWii hits the US!
thats awesome. i was really hoping for something good in this game, lots of people expected little as it was made so quickly but its good to see you enjoyed it. i think i will too.
what country are you in? im in aussie and it aint in untill the 24th april/

im in thw uk and i only got it early due to someone where i work surgessting a 24 hour shop, so playing online just after i got it was excellent. when america gets it as well as yourselfs in aus, it will be crazy, as at the moment continental games are only europe and japan,
I disagree. To be serious, its rubbish. Theres just nothing wrong with it, its more the fact theres nothing great about it. The tracks are meh, not alot of new stuff, bikes are gimmicky, the new trick set up is boring and it just isn't as exciting as previous ones. The only good thing I can say is Wi-Fi but there is just a total lack of innovation besides the control set-up.
Mario Kart needs to add some sort of new features in the future so were not just buying remakes of Mario Kart 64. Its so stale now its tuff to get enjoyment out of it.

Well, one man's treasure is another man's thrash.
I, for one, think the tracks are brilliantly designed, with much more interaction than in the previous MK's.
The bikes are all but gimmicky, they add a new layer of strategy to the game, as they offer advantages and downsides to using karts, and different playstyles adapt better to bikes or karts (for example, I'm a bike person).
The new trick set is very fun to use, and just feels right to wave the wiimote when jumping to see the character make an appropriate trick in the air.
Then again, I agree there is nothing revolutionary about this game, but what did you expect? They bested my expectations with the adding of bikes, tricks and motion controls (well, that was kind of expected) and I can't see how they could have added much more innovations.
