Ummm, yeahh.
This is old news.
MK's online is way better than Brawl's.
Just another reason why Mario Kart is better than Brawl.
Yes. but from what I gather from others more tech-savvy than me, it's just my router or it's setting or something of the like.chickenscratch
yeah when i play online brawl about 1 out of 3 "with anyone" matches are at least a bit laggy and when no one is online its annoying but with MKWii its takes about the time to choose your character and vehicle and such and you already find a game and i have never lagged in a game

Super Smash Bros. never should have been an online game. Think about it.
Combos in Melee is what differentiated the men from the boys, right?
Well if Melee had online, people would steal the best combos from other players, and spam them to death.
Nintendo was forced to add online to Brawl (due to demand) and thus had to take out combos, and a lot of the individual skill demanded from the game.
Since online was never a priority, and was more of a set-back, Nintendo never carefully thought out Brawl's online.
Mario Kart, on the other hand, is completely different. The game can't have a story mode, or any extra options/modes like Brawl, and it relies solely on great multiplayer. So Nintendo made online a priority for Mario Kart.
Online was a priority for one game, and not the other, which is why one is so much better than the other.

For the love of God, please tell you're joking and you don't actually believe that.

Yeahh, instead of providing a point of your own, you tell me I don't believe it.
Riiight.

I didn't say you don't believe, it I said I hoped you didn't believe it. (it can sometimes be hard to tell when people on the internet are joking.)
I understand the argument that Brawl is simpler than Melee. However, the fact that you think the developers simplified it because online players would steal combos from each other is baffling to me. This basically implies that online play in any fighting game wouldn't work, and hell, even that multiplayer wouldn't work. This is clearly not true.

Think what you want.
During the Gamecube days, every Melee player had their own style.
With Brawl, personal "style" doesn't exist.
Nintendo didn't simplify the gameplay because they thought it'd be cool.
Simplified gameplay brought in newcomers, and kept everyone a lot more balanced.
Now, a noob can take on a pro, get lucky, and maybe pull away with one.
With Melee, noobs never won, it was like a law.
So online, the same people would always lose, and the same people would always win.
Nintendo never thought of online as a priority for Brawl, because they didn't even want online in Brawl.
And I've already explained why online was important in Mario Kart.
Ummm, yeahh.

** Mario Kart onlineis better than Brawl, I'm sorry but Brawl if you're the best player in a match, 75% of the time you will win, thanks to blue shells and things like the bullet bill, you do not have to be the best to win at Mario Kart, you need to be lucky to not get blue shelled on the last lap. I can already tell you'll bring up the Smash Ball, and overpowered trophies, which, in some cases take luck, but you can still avoid most final smashes and if you're good enough you can knock both of them out of your opponents hands, taking away some of the blue shell effect they have on the game.
Brawl has more depth and is much better locally as there is no split screen to deal with, of course this is all just my opinion, so take it as you please. Happy Birthday
