Mario Maker 10 reasons its a must buy

Hi Everyone, I'm really excited about this game and made a post on my website. Below I'll have a link. I'll post my blog here so we can all chat at Gamespot but if you did enjoy the read, feel free to check out my webiste :)

Shigeru Miyamoto (the genius game designer who created Mario etc:) showed a video trailer at this years “The Game Awards 2014″ of Mario Maker in action. This is a 2015 Wii U exclusive release and gives players the tools to 100% make their own Mario games and share with friends. I was so impressed that below, I’ve listed 10 reasons why this is a must have game

1) Easy to use. Use the gamepad to drop and drag where you want everything to be. Resize, multiply, editing is so easy you won’t even need to be told how to do it

2) 4 different graphic styles. At the touch of a button, you can switch between 8 bit Mario, Mario 3, Super Mario World and Wii U HD Quality.

3) Play player created stages. Not confirmed yet but of course it will happen. Imagine having access to million of stages made by fans. The creativity would be endless. Game designers may be born just from this it’s that huge!

4) Learn something about game design. Ever played a Mario Game and thought you could do better? Well here is your chance.

5) Miyamoto said and I quote “Who knows, maybe it could become a series of its own“.

6) Previously it was confirmed that there will be “other game elements and objects” also available. So it’s not just pipes and turtles you will have access to. So basically any Nintendo game could be placed inside here. I’m predicting one of them will be the Banana from Donkey Kong

7) Future DLC’s – Nintendo is new to online but with Wii U they have more than made up for it. Expect DLC’s to appear in future and add more tools for game creation and features

8) Music and sound matches the graphic style you choose

9) Could lead to other game makers. Metroid anyone??

I'm super glad they're including the Mario World aesthetic. It's easily my favourite.

Number 3 is what I'm waiting on for confirmation. I'm a lazy slob with a small amount of creativity so my levels will be underwhelming to say the least. I'm very excited by the prospect of playing unlimited levels by other, more talented gamers.

Number 3 is a pretty big deal for this industry... I think the step to taking Video Games more seriously is going to in that direction, not the interactive story game direction.

I love the fact they've added different skins for the different Mario games. I'll be doing most of my creating in Super Mario World mode.

This is definitely one of my most anticipated games, but it's better suited for the 3DS than the Wii U, so I'm probably going to wait a year before buying it to see if they release it on the 3DS later like they did for NES Remix.

Exactly, maybe as few posts in he should have done, we would have been groomed by then.

I just want it to be a big hit and I hope alot of people like it. As for me, I already got Disney Infinity so I won't be getting this.

@Lulu_Lulu: Fingers crossed. I have a feeling it will be. Oh is that any good? It looks nice bu I'm worried if maybe it's to easy or am I wrong to assume that?

@starwolf474: A 3DS version is...a really good idea actually! Also it makes sense since it also has touch screen and a styles. Fingers crossed we canmake mario stages on the go in future :))

@yokofox33: I know right?? I have a soft spot between Mario 3 and Super Mario World. Also I have heaps of friends who even still play the snes games so I look forward to creating some stages and having them come over to plat :D

@beastmodeboy: 3 is really exciting. It would make no sense to not be able to share and your right on the money. Unlimited Mario levels? Sign me up!!

@thehig1: Oh don't let that stop you. I put a lot of thought into the 10 points :) I'm glad you did enjoy it. My site link is to create just some basic awareness that yes the site exists, lol. You will see me around Gamespot often, this wasn't spam ;)

@trugs26: Definately. Event the sounds make me happy haha. Would love to recreate actual levels already done but with some changes. I hope we can make hills...rolling down them and taking out Goomba's is pretty fun hehe

Well... It is... But you can increase the difficulty... I play it on Extreme Difficulty, and basicly all it does is increase the enemies health and damage.... On the plus side it benefits Iron Fist to play on Extreme Difficult since it drasticly increases the rate at which he heals other people...

Anyway, just like Trials and Little Big Planet, its got its own Creation Mode where people can make their own games.

The only downside is theres no Tutorial for any of the tools.... And the introduct doohicky is not helpful at all.

@Lulu_Lulu: Oh ok. Cool, ye difficulty settings would help heaps and I didn't know about the Creation mode. Thanks for the info, will have to check it out ^_^

I have this Sneaky Suspicion that quite a few people don't know about the creation mode.... That might explain why they believe its a ripoff of Skylanders.... Skylanders does have a significantly much better Campaign than Infinity though.

^ This ...thought it was only for Super Mario Bros NES version = no interest, now SmB3 etc...I am interested. :p

I will most likely buy this game, but I do wish you could make 3d mario levels. That would be fun.

But my dream of mario frustration will be a dream come true

@Lulu_Lulu: Ye you might be right. I checked out a video review of it. Looks decent, the jack sparrow levels look fun

@GamerNerdTalk: Maybe for the Wii UISME, lol. My sad attempt at naming the Wii U Successor :p

@superbuuman: I ahve to admit, I was excitied before but once I saw the extra modes...something snapped haha.

I wouldn't know... I never played the 1.0 version. I got 2.0

We will see. Cannot say it is a must buy until we play it.
