Uhhh Link. Seriously. Mario is like "I can jump!" and Link is like "I can jump, and do backflips." Mario is like "I can shoot fireballs!" and Link is like "I can stab you. Shoot you with a bow. Slow time. Ride a horse and a boat. Turn into a Goron and run you over. The list goes on. And I don't die when touched."

Yea. Even though Link has never spoken a word, you still feel a connection, and you feel like you have a purpose. Not that I dislike Mario. I love Mario games, but they just feel like that... games. Not an experience.
