Well, according to the logic of this forum it means IGN hates Nintendo more than Gamespot now because they gave it even less :roll:
I'm not surprised though really, its not exactly what I reach for when I think of fun with friends (the Mario Party series that is) but I know it has its fans. Did anyone even hype it?
It looked kinda cool...I actually thought about buying it for a while, then gamespot put out the 6.5 and there is no widescreen so i don't think i will get it.
An initial GC port, with tacked-on controls on a milky franchise that's barely changed it's formula for the past 10 years? I'm suprised it past the 6.0 mark! The series got crap after #3. And by 'crap' I mean 'when I got sick of the same old".
i jesst played it at a friends house and was really dissapointed with it ... ive never played one before this one but i wasnt expecting that crap ... boooooo !!

GTA IV is actually the 11th game from the series but at least it keeps getting bigger and better :P. Mario Party is just the same old Mario Party over and over again with a couple twists. Although thinking about it there's not much you can do with those kind of games, unless this one just plain sucks compared to other multiplayer games. Maybe they should just stop?
I'm not surprised at all; it's the same concept and it seems a bit rushed (even though it was delayed already.) I played it tonight with some friends for about 2 hours and it just wasn't exciting, it seemed like getting stars was way too easy and it that just made it so boring after an hour. I'd rather try and race to the stars and compete for them like in the previous versions than try and find them and just pay for it. Also the use of the wiimote was kind of boring too. It seemed like you were almost always using the wiimote as the old nintendo controller and that was such a downer! All in all, I'm glad our friends bought it first so we didn't have to buy it. At the end of the day, I'd rather play Mario Party 5 than version 8.0.
