[QUOTE="Thiago26792"]Nintendo releases a new Mario Party every year, right? aransomUsually, but there usually isn't much change from one version to the next.
It isn't much of change from one version to another but if they include online in Mario Party 9, I think it would sell very well.

Maybe, if you don't have any friends.Nintendo releases a new Mario Party every year, right? Thiago26792
Every year since 1999, with the exception of 2006. Yup, and I have 1-7, as well as Mario Party DS. What a waste of money.

Maybe, if you don't have any friends.No... In case you haven't noticed, not many people like Mario Party. I have no friends who would want to play Mario Party. Do you really think you can find three people who can sit through a whole game of Mario Party? Good luck.
Nintendo needs to find a better way to integrate the minigames. They are really the heart of the series, but they get lost because the actual gameplay of moving around the board is pointless.
If they could change that into different format, the Mario Party series would be one of the best games for the Wii.
A trivial pusuit type of board would be better than the existing ones.Instead of colors you would have to win each type of minigame.

Uhhh, just because you cant, doesn't mean anybody else cant. Besides, if they make it online might as well call it, "Mario Online"... Cause making it online would kinda ruin the whole meaning of "Party" in it.[QUOTE="DeathScape666"][QUOTE="aransom"][QUOTE="Thiago26792"]Usually, but there usually isn't much change from one version to the next.[QUOTE="aransom"][QUOTE="Thiago26792"]Nintendo releases a new Mario Party every year, right? I find it kind of hard to believe that there are that many people you know that would want to play Mario Party. Lucky...
Anyway, if they did online play, it couldn't be the board map. Too many people would quit in the middle of the game. Just have some stupid five mini games tournament. If they did do the board map, then I think that they should replace the players with CPUs if they disconnect.
202 people out of the millions that play videogames is hardly a statistically valid sample. 150 out of the 202 probably wear the same brand pants too.Out of the 203 people in my class, 202 of those people would probably rather play Halo 3, Guitar Hero III, or Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare over Mario Party. Me too, lets form a gang. You kids and your pant gangs! Ah, to be young again...
Anyway, the game board format needs to die. I haven't played a Mario Party since 4, and when I played 8 I realized how terrible it really is. It takes so long just to have nothing happen. The least the could do is turn off the walking animations and save us some freaking time (is that an option, I've never looked?).
It would be so much better to have a player's movement on the board be based on how well they did in the minigames. Then MP could focus on the minigames but still keep them tied up in some bigger game.
Edit: Oh, and online might defeat the purpose. "Mario Party 9, this time you can party how you usually do, alone." But I bet it happens anyway.

Well maybe that's just your friends so calm down.
If history has shown us anything, we will see Mario Party 9 this year along with Mario Party DS 2 this year with sequels every year.
It's such a cash cow for Nintendo and they are not going to pass up a opportunity to rake in some easy money.
It would be nice if Nintendo and Hudson would attempt to actually fix some of the problems that have existed since the first game, but since the same people keep buying it over and over, I don't actually see this happenning.
i had the mario party the one with the mic and i thought the mic was pretty fun they just need more games for the mic..
if they put that in nine and the wii controls it would be pretty fun
They have alot to improve on from Mario party 8 if they do bring out a 9th one.
What was that Mario Party 2 was the Highest rated Mario Party game of all time.

They don't have to improve anything. It'll still sell millions of copies. MP8 was proof of that.
I agree with some of what you're saying. I wish you could skip the animations, but I don't really think they should get rid of the board. I would like less luck elements, or at least the option of turning it off. I know with 8 they wanted to make the game more fun for people who stink at the minigames, but they went too far, at least they recognize it anduse the term 'chump charity'.You kids and your pant gangs! Ah, to be young again...
