Mario party is going to get a horrible reviews

OK folks I'm a huge fan of Mario Party but I'm afraid this one is going to get HORRIBLE reviews.  The reviewers have this deal setup where they can only release their game review early if they rate it pretty highly.  I think it's some type of deal all the publishers made with the reviewers or something.  Anyways the first three reviews by GamePro, Yahoo Games, and GameTrailers were all pretty decent. 

HOWEVER... today is the release day and some reviews are starting to come out.  Here's one:

Yes you read correctly - 4.5 and yes that is out of 10.

Also the editor of IGN absolutly laid into this game on his weekly podcast.  I have a felling that all the reviews are going to be pretty close to that... :(

The guy who reviewed it must've been lonely.

Edit: The guy said Mario Parties are for ancient grandpas. He also gave the replay value a 3...

Yeah, I was just about to say that. The Gametrailer's video review also gives you a decent insight of how the game works. So far, it looks just like a good, solid Mario Party game :)

This happens with virtually every game.  A few reviews start to surface that have really good ratings and then release day comes and all the bad reviews hit.

Nintendo Power only gave it a 7.5, so you know you're in trouble. I almost grabbed it this morning, but saw that IGN and GameSpot hadn't reviewed it yet. Best to wait for the (most likely) harsh reality than waste my $60 (CAD) on it. Either way, it'll sell a million.

Again you need to read my post.  If I were guessing I would say this is going to get 6.2 on Gamespot.  I TRUELY TRUELY TRUELY hope that is not the case but that is probably  what it will get.

Well, to be fair, no one has ever heard of wii.advancedmn.com. Gamepro, Gametrailers and Yahoo Games are pretty well-known sites. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt.

If you like Mario Party than buy it. It shouldn't matter what magazine or website says about it if you like these kind of games then buy it.JJCshowtime

the only reason it would score low imo is bcuz it would be more of the same with wii mote controls. i enjoyed sonics party mode alot so this is bound to be a fun game, im not buying it though since theres no online. i'll just rent it

Why should they put any effort when the same people will buy it over and over again?  Aslong as Nintendo can get away with copying and pasting each game over and over, we'll be seeing more lackluster Mario Party for years.
