Mario + Sonic = New Game Christmas 2007

It was just announced and can be seen on MTVNEWS.com that a new game is coming out in which Mario and Sonic will both be making an appearance and no its not Super Smash Brothers or a Mario Party game.  The new game features both Nintendos' mascot Mario and former major competitor Segas' Sonic in a Olympic based game starring those two franchise characters.  It is the first time that these two companies have allowed the characters from their games to merge, this can only mean good things if the 2008 Olympic based game sells well.  The game will be released for the Christmas 2007 season.  If you want the real article visit www.mtvnews.com sorry for no link but my comp is really acating up right now.

The only thing about this that's interesting to me is the amount of drool people have for Sonic and Sega.  Remember last May when they first showed off the Wii and people said it would be like the Dreamcast and put Nintendo out of business.  5 million Wiis later, we see the difference between Sega and Nintendo.

Man, I've wanted those two to be in a game together since I was a kid, but the olympics? I want some kinda crazy Sonic and friends Mario and friends cross-over. All these years and thats what we get? That's weak.CharmedGamer
