Mario Strikers has a poorly designed single player and computer AI.

The road to the strikers cup is horrible. For one of the cups you have to play a ten game seeding bracket then move on to elimination games where if you do lose you have to play the ten game bracket all over again.

This is extremely frustrating especially when the game is so inconsistant. There are times when the computer AI gets more difficult out of nowhere and many questionable goals are scored. Weird goals will be scored from midfield, sometimes by players with low shooting ratings.

The mutiplayer is fun but I am really hating the single player. Once I unlock all the characters I will never be touching the single player again.

Everyone complainsabout Nintendos lack of online so they focus on a strong online and multiplayer and now you complain about the single player. Also its a tournament if you lose your out.wooooode

Yeah, just think of something like the NCAA, if you lose in the tournament you're out.

And the single player isnt nearly as good as multiplayer, but its not to bad itself.

Yeah there aren't any re-dos in a tournament.

There wouldnt be much challenge to it if you didnt have to redo, makes you try harder aswell.

What can you do when an uncharged shot scores from midfield?

Tackle them, steal the ball, use an item, or just let them score and score for yourself after you get the ball back.

Revenge of the hard games. They've been waiting and lurking, listening to gamers saying "this is to easy", "man, this game was nothing", "games use to be harder in the past"etc...

And now they're back!!! Harder than ever (well not quite, but for this purpose). The computer AI is out to get you, make sure you don't win without getting frustrated or atleast breaking a sweat!!!

OK, enough of that, but seriosuly, that's what made games hard before, that fact that when you died.... you actually died or lost, no starting from some mid-point. And I guess this way it's more realistic. But I do enjoy the single player, dodgy goals go in on multiplayer too.

Of course you have to restart! If you lost and could keep going than there is no point in playing the tournament!

I don't want to replay 10-12 games simple as that. If I had to replay half of that I would be happy. I guess I am just dissapointed with the game. It really isn't that good.HolyHandGrenad3

but yes, the single player is horrible, the AI has a lot of cheap methods, and it is very inconstant, i went undefeated in the round robin part of the crystal cup, and then i got owned by diddy with his stupid cheap shots from mid-field that always seemed to score.
