How do I get my wii connected to the internet? I'm not really sure where to begin. Can someone explain to me how to do it? Or maybe what I will need?ie cables? router?

Any help would be great.

:D Thanks,

go to your Wii settings and find wifi settings. if you have a security system on your wifi you need to enter the code and then when you turn it on it will connect on it's own (and when you go to standby the online will be there too unless you specifically set it to off during standby mode)

Well it depends. there are 3 ways :-

1) Connect using wired connection - might need to go on the internet settings (settings 2nd page)

2) Wireless connection - will need to configure settings on the second page.

3) Using a Wi-Fi online wireless connector which is similar to no. 2.

Hope you have fun playing, If you get stuck visit Nintendo website.

Ok I hooked it up using my sisters wireless router connection. Do you think this is a good choice? Wireless that is, Is it reliable enough/good enough connection for online gaming?

P.S. I'm not even sure if it's done everything..because it said the connection was successful but it's doing all these updates and stuff.

Wireless is the only way to go for the Wii, it's pretty reliable.

It's updating because you just had your connection settings set up, you have to get all of the updates until now.
