as soon as I connection to EA's servers it disconnects
have the same issue on my PC, but it's quite common on it, anyone got this problem on their wii too?

Nope. That must be your connection. Make sure it is well configured and that it is working well.

nope because it would do that with other servers, which it never has
I play gamesquite a lot online, but it's only with EA's servers

EA servers on Fifa 08 Wii are actually very dodgy, so this is a good point.
