Megaman is right below Sonic when it comes to franchises that must redeemed to their former glory. I wonder what this Megaman game would look like anyways.......
I would love to see a Megaman incarnation on the wii. I'm not sure where they can take it that it hasn;t gone before though. Maybe FPA Metroid Prime style? Might be neat if it was done right.
What they ned is a traditional megaman, it could be on wiiware for all I care. So long as it goes back to the fundementals. The only wii specific control I want is IR aming so that megaman can shoot in every direction.
I dont remember where but there was a listing for two megaman games for Wii. The bad news is they are those weak spinoff games like Jetforce or something like that. The free aiming of the wiimote is perfect for a 3d megaman. I think the biggest problem with having a true conversion of 2d megaman to 3d is that you can do all that fast dodging and shooting witht he analog. If it was with a Wiimote then it works.
A while back, a poll was floating around, I think from Capcom, asking which platform you'd like to see the next Megaman game on. The Wii won overwhelmingly. Odds are, when there's a new Megaman, it'll be on the Wi. Also, keep in mind, Capcom loves the Wii. They wouldn't object to making a few more million-sellars for it.
Well they do have a Megaman game on Euro VC. Hey, if Megaman was to make appearance on the Wii, it should have been *duh du du duh* Super Smash Bros Brawl.
Capcom deals with Megaman like Sega deals with sonic. They just wont do it right. People always say that if Nintendo had the development of these two series they could do them in 3d perfectly.
i just hope that we get at least Megaman 2 on the Vc (in the states anyway). all the other ones went downhill, but MM2 is the pinnacle of the franchise IMHO.
