So yep, had my Wii since mid-december and had my GC memory card for a few years now. It just happened on this one occasion that the memory card got stuck tight in Slot A. I had a look on the internet and it seems that this isn't the first time it's happened to someone. Now I'm worried about yanking this thing out incase it does some damage. But does anybody here know if this is covered by the Wiis warranty? And to anybody who's had this problem before, what did you do?

Was it a 3rd party memory card? Because it may have been corrupted due to the fact that some 3rd party cards are complete and utter crap.

Just wiggle and pul that thing.

That always works on everything for me.

Except if it is really stuck.

I had that same thing happen to me, I had to buy a new memory card and now I no longer use my Wii to play GC games, my GC is still plugged in anyway so its not a problem, besides having to play through every game again.:( This was what I made my first blog entry about because of how angry I got. *shameless self advertising*

If it is a 3rd party memory card than it's your own fault. If it is a Ninty one, I'd call 'em up and see what they tell you.

Yeah it's third party but it's exactly the same size in every aspect as a 'ninty' card.

It's more likely that the card is the problem. I've never had a Nintendo memory card corrupt on me, but every 3rd party card I've used (or a friend has used) has corrupted. And that's on the Gamecube, not the Wii. Once I lost that first Fire Emblem save (Three star difficulty, chapter in the late 20s, nobody died from my team ), I never trusted my serious save files to the card again.

Well when I picked up his card it was back when you could only get game brand products from game, they just didn't serll Nintendo memory cards and since there is no where else near me that does these... Anyway I'm gonna see if I can get a number for Nintendo and call 'em up, see what they tell me to do.
