Nope. The Wii has 512 MB of internal flash memory. It's plenty for saving games and downloading new channels and VC games.

But if you plan on playing GameCube games in it you'll need to buy not only a GameCube controller but GameCube memory cards because you can only save GC saves to a GC memory card.
