Until developers start to realise what most wii gamers want is a good motion sensing version of what we are getting on the PS3 and 360, these developers will continue to think they have to do something quirky and offbeat. I like Elebits but I would much rather have a Metal Gear Solid game.
Konami has made it clear that they will mindlessly follow the other companies in this weird trend.
actually snake is in brawl because his creator begged for it. He asked to be in melee but the game was too far in production to add him in so snake showed up now.
And as much as we want a MGS it won't happen
There will be no MGS on the Wii. Last I checked MGS4 was the last in the series, which is good..best not to drag it out too long.Zurei
They've been saying that for a looooong time. Including Kojima stating that it will be his last MGS game. look what happens.
The creator of the Metal Gear series already said there will NOT be a Metal Gear game on the Wii.
No ports of older games and no new ones

at the very least he should release Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake on the vc (the first was on the NES, but i think the second was on the MSX...but i think there was a US version of MG2 (NOT metal gear SOLID) which was for the NES as well.
Who knows, It may not be a Metal Gear Solid, but it be nice to bring out an exclusive Metal Gear Series to the Wii.

It's not really up to Kojima to make that decision, it's up to Konami.

No, not at all.
It's his choice and his choice alone. I have no idea where you think for a second that Konami would even try to move him from his stance, especially because they don't have the power to do so.

I'm fairly certain Konami owns the Metal Gear Solid rights and Kojima is a Konami employee, he too has bosses and if his bosses say, port over a Metal Gear or create one, you can bet your bottom buck he'll do as he's told.

even if Konami were to risk something like this most companies including Konami dont even want to make games that push the envelope. They want to do elebits and and dewy's adventure. It may be that Kojima may have wanted to do something and konami was the one to stop him.
[QUOTE="EmperorZeruel"]we should get a metel gear game for wii since snake is in brawllancea34
Snake is in Brawl because the gamecube had the Metal Gear Solid remake.
That and the fact that the Metal Gear series started with a Nintendo console with "Metal Gear" on the NES. Not to mention Kojima had wanted Snake in Melee really really really bad but Sakurai said it was too far in development. Anyways, I hope so. But it'll be a spin-off. Probably what happened with Grey Fox after Zanzibar, or maybe even something like "Metal Gear: The Radien Chronicles" about what happens after he defeats Solidus Snake in MGS2 up to MGS4. Like a trilogy or something.

actually he is in brawl because metal gear started on the first nes system i guess everyone is too young to remember that lol
Well Metal Gear Solid 4 is suppose to end the adventures of Solid Snake so another Metal Gear Solid will be a no no. The only way I can see them going to the wii is if they talk about Naked Snake (big boss), another Raiden adventure (I hope not) or we suddenly find out that Solid Snake has a another twin brother that we never knew about but he can age normally. Other than that I don't see it coming onto the Wii.zerosaber456
what if we find out that Old Snake is the twin brother and that pic of that younger looking Snake is the one we played as in MGS1?

Konami is just the publisher. Kojima has his own dev team called, quite fittingly, Kojima Productions. Kojima is the original creator of the"Metal Gear" and "Metal Gear Solid" franchises. They'd need his permision to publish anything with his intellectual property in it.

Depends who owns the Metal Gear Solid Rights and he still has his bosses, and if not his own bosses, he has his greed to please. It won't be the last Metal Gear, that's for damn sure.

Hes pretty passionate about his work.
But you are right there will be more MGS games in some form. Bungie was claiming that the story would end Halo 3 but thats not true if you played the whole game.
I would actually like to see MGS 2 & 3 ported to the Wii. I mean, if you're going to port PS2 games to the Wii, you might as well port the best ones, right?Helen_Mirren
i would prefer a new game if that means NOT making it MGS related so be it. Also if its going to be incredibbly low budget like Elebits but then not completely execute the potential then forget it.

There better be an excellent MAIN SERIES game thats similar to the MGS series, they owe Nintendo big time for putting Snake on Brawl.

or they could just properly execute a new series. Elelebits 2 could be good if it realy unlocked its wasted potential.

Metal Elebits Solid 2
A new series similar to the MGS series would be incredibly tight though.
